with toys r us doing that psp deal were you buy the system, a game and an accessory and get 25% off total. should i go ahead and hop on that deal for a pvp 3000 with a game like loco roco 2, or wait and see what sony does with another psp. as i am not sure how the psp 3000 is going in terms with that screen debate going on and a lot of people supossibly hating it.

I think the screen issue is over rated - I have a 3000, and there's no way I'd turn it in for a 2000. Yes, I see the scan lines and interlacing issues, but it's much nicer than the 2000.

When it comes to a system, though, if you feel the price is right for the amount of play time it'll get, I'd say jump on it. If there's only one game that'll get about 3 hours of play time, for example, I'd say skip it :P

As for the next PSP, I wouldn't be surprised if a new PSP model comes out by the end of the year - as for PSP 2, who knows. Guess it depends if you're willing to wait until E3 or CES or some other large trade show to see if Sony says anything.

Go to Circuit City and grab a PSP. There are quite a few good games out for it and it looks like Resistance Retribution is going to be pretty damned good. It is a win-win.

Depends.
1) Do you mind not a ton of releases, but a handful of great releases this year?
2) Are you interested in older PSP titles?
3) Do you want to use it for videos, music, and/or internet or remote play?
4) Do you plan on doing CFW (I hope not)?
5) Would you be an early adopter of PSP2 and how long are you willing to wait for that instead?
After knowing those answers I could definitively tell you what to do.

i have the psp 1000 model. but its been acting up on me by have it bring up that quit to home option, even though i dont press the home button. so i have been playing my ds little more. im a little to much of a penny pincher and hold on to money only when im sure i will enjoy a system/game

If you can recoup some money by selling the 1000 and telling the person it has difficulties, then I might go ahead and get the 3000. You might want to hold out for the next price drop. Depends on if you have games on PSP or things you want to use it for that you're missing out on. If its a issue with the button maybe you could try to fix it. But it may be an issue with the software. Did you try reformatting?

Hard to say on this one. Personally, I should have waited and see what Sony is planning with the 4k, if not with the PSP2. But, since there is not hard and official launch date for either product, you could be waiting for some time before we could hearing anything.

I own the 3k model, and the screen doesn't bother me that much, and having compared it with an older 2k screen, the 3k screen just looks "better" to me. As for the Toy's R Us deal, you could get lot of goodies especially if you go for the bundled psp3k
