Yes, Target has price adjustments for like a week on games.
However, you have 90 days to return an unopened game with receipt.
So buy the on sale copy and return it with the old receipt.
It's a never ending sale till the game hits clearance.

I don't know if Target honors sale prices, but if not here is what you can do:

Go buy L4D when it is on sale for $40. Walk out to your car, grab old receipt from when you bought it last Sunday and return the copy you just bought with the old receipt. L4D is L4D is L4D and as long as it is not opened they should accept the return w/ receipt for the price you paid last Sunday.

On a side note, I did not realize that Target doesn't pricematch.. what a load of BS, I wanted to buy a controller for them if they would match the Walmart price but they say they don't do any matches... I'd rather spend my money at Target vs. Walmart but I'm not going to pay $14 more on principle.

I played the demo of Left 4 Dead, looks like a good multiplayer coop game, not sure how much it will hold with it's single player or multiplayer online, I have $125 in target gift cards I might as well use next week if I can.

I puchased Dead Space during black friday, great single player game. (The demo is trash in my view, they throw you in without even an understanding of the controls) It's my 2008 single player game of the year. It really reminded me of Doom 3 on the PC, another game I loved.

I'm definitely getting Left 4 Dead at that price, but I'm still skeptical on the game. Some people told me that it gets old and boring fast, but I'm looking for a mindless shooter that I can play in small doses. Left 4 Dead seems like it's for me, but what do you guys think about it?

It's just what you're looking for. It's great fun to play in short doses and marathon sessions. It's mindless in that you basically shoot everything that moves, but keep in mind that it does require a crapload of teamwork and looking out for one another. All in all, it's great fun to play and there's almost always people playing, so it shouldn't be too hard to find a populated game to play in. This is coming from the PC version btw, but I'm sure the other versions aren't too much different.

Got 360 L4D (price match at Best Buy because I had reward credit + a gift card). I have it on the PC, but everybody I game with plays 360.

Not to mention my HTPC died a terminal motherboard death awhile back, and I'm currently running Vista Media Center on my main box and I don't want to risk screwing my show recordings by playing the games simultaneously with multiple capture streams. I doubt it would do much damage, but I still avoid it.

Not sure if anyone caught this but the deal posted for Endwar at Target is wrong. It's 49.99 for the regular Xbox360 version or the Headset Bundle PS3 version. The real bummer is it makes this clear on the ad so it's a tough price match. My BB wouldn't do it.

Sure, price matching is relatively simple, you can just take a competitor's ad(such as target or sears) and as long as the ad is the company's current one, and there is a picture and price of that product on ad, no problem. I normaly ask one of the greeters out front if they price match, even though I already know they do as soon as I enter the store. When I go pay I mention someone already confirmed it was possible up front. Although I have heard stories of some managers calling competitive stores to check their stock on that product, but in the ten plus times I have price matched that has never happened to me(luckily).

I had actually bought that game back on the 14th with $20 off in RZone coupons I had, and I was able to go back today, and have them Price Match it, and give me back $21.55 Making my total for the game ~$20 :D



Sort of interesting story really (I think)...
Out of all the BB CS (in-store) help I have received through the years, this one was by far the best. Usually they are all hassle's, and tons of attitude :booty:
But this time was far different thankfully.
- I walked up to the counter (middle of the day, on a dead Monday helps), and tell the guy I wanted a PM on the game I had bought just 9 days ago.
- He asked for my receipt, and I said I didn't have one and that when I tried to re-print purchase proof from the BB RZ website, it was down, and I couldn't do it (which is true).
- He asked for my Phone #, pulls up my RZ account, sees the purchase, and does a bunch more work on the checkout computer...
- The Register door pops open, and he hands me $21.55, and a new receipt.

During this whole time, a couple "sr types" had come around and watched everything he was doing. I'm guessing it was a couple managers who proceeded to verbally rape him after I had left, probably for helping me and refunding me the $$$ even though I had no receipt.
I really hope this is a standard policy for the store and BB, but somehow I doubt it...


As for the Scene-It BOS! game...
It is actually really fun! I had a bunch of friends over last weekend, and we played through 2 or 3 full games in teams of 2. It is a great "social" type of game.

Your receipt will have the console's serial number on it (or at least it should). Buying another and returning it with your old receipt probably won't work.

I did this yesterday for both the 12+1 live card and the wireless control.
I kept checking online and did the email me when it is back in stock at sears but got tired of waiting.

At lunch yesterday I stopped by the local Sears and grabbed the flyer and headed for BestBuy.
I found the control listed at 49.99 and the 12+1 was 49.99.
I showed the girl the Sears add and she asked no questions and I was out with a total of $73 and some change. Not bad at all.
I know I could have saved a few bucks on the control online but what to heck.
