Microsoft charges more money for licensing and I think the hardware itself is actually slightly different. Off the top of my head I think the 360 version has a port that allows you to connect your mic to it (not sure if this is true).

Yeah avoid either standard fightstick (not the TE's) for now until Mad Catz fixes the issues with the washers holding the sticks at the factory level.

I have one of these sticks. It's a great stick for the price. My complaint is I hate the restrictor plate that it comes with. It doesn't feel like you have too much movement and it makes the stick appear to be stiffer then it really is.

So I opened the baby up and rigged it a little bit. At first I was just going to remove the entire restrictor plate all together, but then I found out that the plate holds most of the guts of the joystick in place. So I ended up just carving out the hole in the plate to allow more movement and a more fluid experience overall. I widened the hole in the plate by using a lighter to heat the inside of it and then when it was warm enough I used a pair of pliers to pull out the plastic. Personally I feel that the stick moves and feels 10 times better now.

And from what I've read on the shoryuken.com tech boards, this stick is a piece of cake to mod. All of the buttons pop out and are replaceable with 30 mm Sanwa parts. You can also remove the Joystick and replace it was a Sanwa stick. They have detailed posts on how to do this over there. I would post the link but their site is blocked from work.

I think this stick is fantastic, but I'm waiting around and using one of those Hori EX sticks until March/April to see if Capcom store comes through with me TE. I have a feeling I'm going to end up getting screwed, but I'd hate to have two arcade sticks.

Stay away from this piece of shit stick guys. I already returned mine back to gamestop and I'll patiently wait for the TEs. Huge issue with buttons sticking after a couple of hours and joystick not registering.

The TE is made of Genuine Arcade Sanwa buttons and Joystick. Bigger case, not to mention it's metal and heavy. And it's pretty easy to mod if you choose to.

Ordered from B&N yesterday. Already got a shipping email. Probably wont open it though because of all the problems, and I actually found a Hori Ex2 for 360 at a local gamestop, and picked that up. (Half the price, and for a first stick it works fine.)

I play the game in my room with surround sound turned up so I dont hear it at all. But with the volume turned down the clicking is pretty loud.

They all click, the Hori works fine, i have been playing SF4 with it up until now, but its a big PITA to mod.

The SE Mad Catz stick is easy to mod as well with all the quick disconnects and stuff. MC says they've only had 50 complaints about the stick, but one of the PS3 guys had to send his in, and 1UP had their stick go bad also so just beware.

If your SE stick does get locked into going just one direction, MC will fix it for free, including shipping. My TE stick has been flawless so far though.

So I ordered one of these because I can't find a TE, and it said it was due to ship out the 20th. Now they're telling me sometime next week. Kinda frustrating because I paid for one day shipping and all that. If I new I had to wait another week or so, I wouldn't have dropped the extra 10 to get it shipped fast.

Mad Catz is fucking up. I don't understand how these sticks aren't readily available. I understand that fighting games don't sell like an FPS, but this is Street Fighter IV. People have been waiting for 10 years for this game. Hell, the people that didn't like Street Fighter III have been waiting 17 years for this game. I really don't get how they dropped the ball on supply issues with this one. Every time a fighting game gets released, Hori hasn't had this issue. WTF mad catz?

Retailers are saying 1st week of march, Markman is saying late march / early april. He said he knew they were making enough to fulfill all pre-orders. Can't be sure if people who didn't pre-order are SOL.

I was gonna buy one of these but opted not to. Then I considered buying a soul calibur 4 stick and was told that it was "eh" at best so staying away from that.

I may just wait to find a $40 gamepad once the rush quiets down.

I love my modded Hori EX stick (Same as a SCIV Stick). It took litterally 3 minutes to get the Octagon restrictor and the bat stick. The buttons are a pain but I am not unhappy with them so until they start sticking/being non-responsive then I will make the switch over on buttons.

I ultimately was scared away from the SE stick - I found a cheap Hori EX2 and am going to use that for the time being. If I'm even still interested in SFIV by the time the TE sticks are going to be available again, I'll bite .

I figure that the time in between is an excellent way to determine if the TE stick is worth it for me (not because its a bad product, but because I haven't got a clue if I will be that into the game for several months)

I ordered thursday, called and confirmed inventory and got the order turned over to gamestop. Called them on friday, the guy I spoke with confirmed inventory and helped me upgrade my shipping to overnight. Didn't receive a confirmation email so I called later that afternoon and was told they were never in stock. Ugh.

Gamestop deliberately took tons of orders they knew they could not fill hoping that the majority of them would stick. IMO that's a pretty shady way of doing business.

Everyone who thinks they will ship today your crazy. Mine was suppose to ship on friday and didnt. I went back and forth between B and N and gamestop. They were pointing the finger at each other. When i called back to gamestop i got the same guy i originally spoke to. They are out of stock, he said they should be back in stock on March 2nd. He refunded my shipping charge. I paid for 2 day air. If it doesnt ship the 3rd of march im canceling my order.

I've tried this a few times at stores that supposedly have it. The order always goes through, but the 2nd confirmation email that is supposed to confirm they have sticks in stock always comes back with a OOS notice. Very lame.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Ordered 2/20 12:57pm EST. Order was supposed to ship today, but no notice order has shipped, and have not yet recived the backordered email. Likely I will not be receiving stick anytime soon. If it doesn't ship tomorrow, I'll cancel. I've learned to be somewhat proficient w/ the standard 360 pad, but Supers & Ultra's are inconsistent w/ pad. I want to buy a stick, I should be able to. Why are the literally none anywhere? MadCatz, Hori, or otherwise?

It's just due to the massive demand of any sticks. Prior to the release of SF4 sticks were decently priced and in stock. The other item that I have heard is Mad Catz just didn't expect the huge demand for the sticks or even the pads.
