Yeah that Johnny 5 Pope was pretty cool, I need to save it for future uses.

I managed to fix that virtual drive problem without having to reinstall, took some digging though. I had to delete the drivers the virtual drives were using, then i was finally able to remove them from the system properties. Couldn't remove them before deleting the drivers.

So I went to my credit union to get something notarized, and there was a 45 min wait. No biggie, I didn't have much else planned, and I was watching the snow move in (damn, Brak - you were right man).

The lady at the front counter looked like a cute 35 to 40 yr old version of the Progressive chick with the tricked out name badge, and had nearly the same personality. A lot of people there, but she was just interested in chatting with me, it seemed. She'd help some one, and then come back to me and chat about taking cruises, the economy, needing to renew passports and prostituion and the drug trade in Mexico. Add to that that she told me that when she gets home from work and her daughters are in bed, she just spends most of her time on the internet, and you have one interesting as hell conversation.

A customer would come up, and she'd do what she needed to, and I'd go back to reviewing my forms, and a minute later, she was back over. "Do you have your passport? I need to renew mine, but all the stuff I hear about Mexico - it's so beautiful, but there are so many horror stories." A few minutes later, "You don't look old enough to have been in college 15 years ago."

It was almost surreal. God, I love my credit union...

Great great uncle gave me and a cousin 5 grand a few years back for college, first car, or whatever. We're selling our ford ranger which will put another grand towards that, and I have 500 to cover TT&T. This truck is marked at 8, but it's a small time dealer that we know, and he probably got it at an auction for like 4 grand so we're almost positive he'd take 6500 for it.

My ex used to say that we knew every crazy person in the area, because we'd try to befriend them. There was The Shrugger, Evil (who rode his bicycle all day long, collecting bottles, but had a wallet stuffed with cash)...but Mick was our favorite.

In Atlanta a local weekend tabloid rag kidded about making action figures for some of our crazies. We were all surprised at how many that everyone knew, collectively, in a city this size.

Good times, many LULZ.

Not quite as funny as the "loss cat" signs that were put up (which were subsequently copied by others and put up all over the city "OBEY" style).

PS3's backwards compatibility.
PS3's superior media support (Not just bluray, the PS3 supports more file types and scales them better. The 360 scaler is turrible.)
360's lack of install for downloads.
PS3's hardware reliability (Or maybe the NES's :-k)
PS3's Free online.

Oh, don't try to talk your way out of it, now.

I forgot to mention this - but I now take my 360 wireless adapter to work with me. I came home a week ago, to find I had gained a bunch of Orange Box and L4D cheezemints, a bunch of friend requests and my rep had taken a hit.

Does Pixie even check what Juggers plays when she lets him? Or was he playing L4D and she was too scared to go into the room?

I was ticked. Here's how the conversation went down:

Pixie: "He told me you said it was okay for him to play online, as long as he got achievements."
Juggers: "I'm sorry, daddy!"
Me: "I'm not mad at you, buddy; your whole job is to try to trick your parents. Your mother on the other hand...[turns to Pixie] You actually believed that?"
Pixie: "I'm stupid."
Me: "I'm not contesting that." [Pixie moves in to hug me] "Why are you touching me?"
Pixie: "Because I'm hoping you'll catch my stupidity."
Me: "Stupidity isn't contagious."
Pixie: "See? I'm too stupid to realize that."
Me: "...I...I can't argue witrh that. That has been the most logical, in context, thing I have heard you say in some time. I can't even begin to combat that."

You have to queue the ~300MB patch up off XBLM like you would a demo or DLC. The weird thing is that the newest patches include everything in the previous ones so you can have like 2GB of Burnout patches accumulated on your 360 hard drive that do absolutely nothing and no one tells you that it's safe to delete them.

(The Back to the Future car is ridiculously awesome. I recommend it as it makes Stunt Runs really, really fun, which I used to hate to do.)

Heh, I found some pictures of my second car, a 97 Chrysler Sebring.

A couple months after I bought it, the driver's side door fell off. Cost me $600 to have it put back on. Not a bad car though.

Odd thing though, before I owned it, I never got a ticked. In the short time I owned that car, I got three in one month and I haven't gotten one since I sold it.

Wow, Killzone 2 sucks balls. It's a shame too because it looks great.

Crap you are the second CAG regular who has said that today.

American car reliability is damn close to Japanese these days; Even Clark Howard, who used to rail on and on about US cars admits that.

That being said, customer service is and corporate culture affecting dealerships attitudes towards customers is another story.

I just bought my wife her first (and actually mine too) GM product ever (We don't count the Saturn she had in HS, since it was before GM pulled the brand back in and ruined them for a decade).

The door just fell off? Were you moving when it happened? I keep picturing that scene in Tommy Boy where Christ Farley bends the door of David Spade's car.

Nah, most two-door cars have this problem because the doors are so long that the weight starts to take it down after a while. It also doesn't help that I live in Syracuse, rust capital of the world.

I said close, not the same. Most numbers and analyst back that up. I don't deny that as whole Japanese cars are generally better.

http://blogs.consumerreports.org/cars/2009/01/brand-survey.html

To rank the brands, the Consumer Reports National Research Center conducted a random, nationwide telephone survey, interviewing 1,745 adults whose household owns at least one car. From this, an overall brand perception index was calculated based on the total number of times that the particular make was mentioned as an exemplar in any of the seven categories.

Brand perception – Top 10

1. Toyota
2. Honda
3. Ford
4. Cadillac
5. Mercedes-Benz
6. GMC
7. Lexus
8. BMW
9. Chevrolet
10. Volvo

Reality
Now, this is not to say these are the "best" brands. Such a statement would warrant much more critical analysis than a perception survey, though ConsumerReports.org provides exhaustive information to help in making such assessments based on your own priorities. Going through our New Car Selector (http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/car-selector/select.htm), you can filter and sort based on the factors that matter most to you, such as reliability, safety, owner costs, and road test scores.

Brand Reliability — Top 10

1. Scion
2. Acura
3. Honda
4. Toyota
5. Lexus
6. Infiniti
7. Subaru
8. Hyundai
9. Mitsubishi
10. Kia

How many American brands do you see in the second list?

I agree with all of that. See, I grew up in the 80's where the disparity wasn't measured in tenths of percents. Then you were insane to consider an American car.

I meant the reliability part. Without seeing the math i don't put much faith in ratings and things. Even with a simple phone survey, how they did the math can make a difference.

LOL.

My wife and kid loves Lips. I comes packed with the wierdest cross section of music I have ever seen. Hip Hop, Sara Barellas, Weezer and CASH- it's like a shotgun blast to a musical bargain bin.

The game itself is more fun than Sing-Star but the music store is no where near as good. Those are also the best damn mics I have ever used with a console better than that premium logitech my brother bought.

Regarding the CR stats, I think CR still relies on number of repairs vs. dollar amounts. It's pretty indicative of build quality, reliability is also a different IMHO but it's the best guide available.

Interesting car talk. Opinions about cars are always interesting.

Puma go find an El Camino.

I am sure plenty of people don't agree with my 86 Monte Carlo SS. My family has always been truck people you can't take a Civic hunting you know. I understand why people hate those that have trucks and never put them to use. Also Range Rover owners who never even want to get a scratch on it.

I wish people would learn that we need to do away with Gasoline and Oil products completely though.

My first car was a 1988 Ford Escort LX that had originally belonged to my grandparents. It was handed down to my family, and then my sister, before I turned 16 in 2003. I now drive a 1999 Saab 9-5 SE.

So I got my copy of Lips in finally on Thursday. Yay.

My idiot brother and a $$$$$$ cousin got into a fight at X-Mas.

I jumped in to prevent those idiots from doing property damage at an uncle's house.

That used to be good but they switched from sugar and brown sugar to HF corn syrup which IMHO ruins the sauce because of viscosity and it DOES taste different.
