Just a heads up - Amazon's deal of the day is the Double Cymbal pack for just $20. Just remember - these don't work with Rock Band 1 drums!
Amazon DotD (http://www.amazon.com/Rock-Double-Cymbal-Expansion-Xbox-360/dp/B001G56I86/ref=br_lf_m_1000208101_1_1_ttl?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=videogames&pf_rd_p=470156771&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_t=1401&pf_rd_i=1000208101&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=00AAXYZ2EMTHEEN7THWQ)

Yeah, I thought that $19.99/$39.99 were the MSRPs for the double/triple cymbal sets.
Am I missing something here?
EDIT: Ahhh. Ok, thanks for clearing that up, brainwave. Didn't realize that there are three different packs.
Too bad the DOTD wasn't the 3-pack for $29.99...I might have bitten.

^it's generally $20 for 1, $30 for the double pack, and $40 for the triple pack. Semi-interested, $10 off is something I'll have to look into...

I think you need to have $25 for free shipping though, which may make the deal not so hot for some...

If you want the cymbals this is a good deal. They are $30 everywhere else. I was about to buy this for $30 at GS the other day. Some states don't have tax and if your a prime member its a really good deal.

If they worked with RB1 drums, I would have ordered it

I received these at Christmas as a gift from a friend and they aren't so great. First of all the don't stay up, while playing they start to fall down. Also they are known to double hit and sometimes not even register a hit at all. Just sharing my experience with them.

Actually the sliding down it's because you haven't set them up well. Mine used to do that until I started to check them and saw the clamps that hold the metal poles have a clip that you have to press until it clicks and then they are tightly secured. After I did that my cymbals don't ever slide down. I got the double cymbals on December and it's been two months and they don't slide down nor do they register double hit.

I really wish this was the triple set because I would've jumped on that for $10 off. I guess I'll still wait.

What's the advantage of having the symbals?

I got these for $30 and these are definately worth the money for $20.
You can also use it as real cymbals in the freestyle mode, but mostly, it just makes the whole experience better when you have cymbals to hit.
It also looks great for style.

I did tighten them down all the way and they still did it. Doesn't matter I returned them and so did my other two friends who bought them all because the same problem. Maybe the first batch from Amazon.com just was messed up.

Words of warning: MadCatz makes these.
In the same 2 cymbal pack, I got one cymbal that didn't register unless you hit really hard, and one that would register so much that stomping the bass pedal would cause a register. Also, that cymbal registered if you hit a pad too closely to the cymbal.
If you're like me and like to tinker, it's not so hard to remedy these things but to the average consumer just beware.

And...?
And 3rd party accessories like those from MadCatz are always inferior garbage!
At least that's the absurd belief held by far too many people for the past 20 years or so. Funny how 3rd party stuff wasn't looked down upon in the early 80s then magically it became evil once licensing came into vogue. Amazing that this doesn't really occur anywhere other than video game accessories. Some products are good, some are bad, doesn't matter who makes them or what happened with unrelated products from the same company.
This case is all the more ironic since these evil 3rd party cymbals will always be used with a 3rd party accessory.
