I'm pretty sure deals from the store have been posted before... they are pretty reputable.

Hmm, thinking this is a mistake on their part. When they get hit with the real price of the game, they'll likely cancel or adjust the actual price.

Maybe, maybe not...There has to be a reason why Amazon is selling new wii releases for 10 dollars less than msrp.

I think nintendo MSRPs on games are going to be 39.99 in the future... or even less...

I have a preorder with Amazon because of the other thread, but I preordered here anyway, even though there's tax for CA. If they cancel, Amazon will be a good backup. If they don't cancel, Amazon is pretty easy to cancel, so hopefully all goes well.

"We highly recommend that you place pre-orders to ensure the availability of your title. Please note that prices and availability are subject to change. Credit cards are not charged until your order is ready to ship."

Ahhh.. yeah they will probably adjust the price, and probably without sending me an email first. Crap, my order is almost complete but now I'm not sure whteher to go through with it...

They are a legit business, but I would be shocked if they honor this price. It is literally a store front in the suburbs in eastern Los Angeles County. It's not like they're Amazon and will eat the loss.

Choose "more carriers". There should be a shipping option with USPS for around $6.00.

Shipping is coming out at $11+. Not gonna pay more than 50% of the entire order on shipping. How did you guys get it at $6 shipping?

I think its illegal to charge MORE for something that you did not pay for before notifying you of the change.
So I wouldnt be too worried about putting an order in. Worst comes to worst, it gets canceled. Best case...you get a cheap release.

They won't be selling it for $30 off MSRP. They are much too small a company to honor a price mistake like this. Considering Walmart and just about every other company making price mistakes even more minor than this never honor them, I really think it's ridiculous that people someone think this little tiny mom and pop operation (seriously, I have been to their store and it's an older couple and what appears to be their kids running the store). If this was Amazon, I think there would be at least some chance of it going through. Here, there is no chance.

I did the same so that i know i won't get charged $50 without finding out. Like the guy said above, they'll probably have to refund it. If this works, that'd be so awesome i might have to bow to the OP

Every thread with "too good to be true" prices throughout eternity has posts like this. And sometimes they do honor the "mistake". Then who has egg on their face?

(Actually me, since I'm not bothering with it).

there site has the game listed as being 49.99 if you look under there US Pre-order chart. I hope this deal comes through. i was gonna sell my wii but this post made me decide not to just yet. this game looks pretty awesome and clover has had a great track record.

Like the Amazon.com seller who priced a working 20GB PS3 for $10. And when CAG'ers started ordering it thinking they were getting the deal of a lifetime only later to have their hearts broken when their orders got canceled.

This is one of those deals too. IOW, it ain't happening. ;)

Their feedback is questionable at best... but I gave it a shot.

EDIT* They let you pay with GCO. That's sorta gives me a bit more confidence and GCO's CS is pretty damn good (unlike PayPal's). Too bad shipping went up to $7.20 for USPS for some reason on the GCO site. Not a real big deal over $5.20 so I'll take my chances with GCO.

not really. they may just wait until release date and do a massive cancel. i hate when they do that because if they just cancel it earlier, it would give me a chance to pre-order somewhere else.

Has anyone had a price error order canceled from this site before? Did they cancel it shortly after fixing the price, or did they wait till right before release to cancel? I'm thinking maybe if a very small number of people ordered before they fixed the price, they might just let the orders stand (wishful thinking, I know).

Sorry guys! They've now corrected it. And I seriously doubt that they'll honor the pricing mistake, since they have the typical legalese excluding them from responsibility on their website (http://www.japanvideogames.com/terms.asp):

Typographical Errors
In the event that a www.japanvideogames.com product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, www.japanvideogames.com reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. www.japanvideogames.com reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, www.japanvideogames.com shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.

Well, I wouldn't have emailed if they didn't change the price back. But it was pretty damn obvious that they knew about the error, considering its listed as $50 now. I just didn't want to have to deal with some bullshit like waiting until the 10th for a cancellation.

Right, because this tiny little store has an automated ordering and fulfillment system, right? Give me a break. It's better to know now rather than having your Paypal funds tied up in something that ultimately won't be happening.

Looks like it's officially dead. This is taken from their Madworld product page with the newly adjusted $49.99 price:

"http://www.japanvideogames.com/v/vspfiles/templates/1/images/clear1x1.gif We apologize, from 2/21-2/23, this listing contained pricing errors, the correct value has been adjusted and any orders prior will be refunded."

It looks like if some people haven't done so, to start pre-ordering over at Amazon at least to get ten dollars off the MSRP.

I received an email cancellation:
We sincerely apologize, this weekend’s listing for madworld had a pricing error, we will be refunding your funds in total today.

In no way was this deliberately done on purpose nor was the pricing error in anyway a publicity stunt.

Thank you in advance for understanding.

Friendlier than most such emails, but I'm still disappointed.

I got the e-mail too. I love the "In no way was this deliberately done on purpose". Engrish FTW!

I don't care. I figured it would be canceled and besides, I was planning on paying MSRP on launch for this anyway just to show Sega (and other companies) that there is support for good Wii games. I did not expect a sale at all, so Amazon's price is good enough for me. Luckily I didn't cancel my Amazon pre-order since I figured this would be canceled today. I'm excited that MadWorld has been on Amazon's top 10 for quite a few days now.
