On Friday Feb. 27, 2009. There will a CAG Street Fighter IV tournament for those that can make it on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, The Playstation 3 tourney will start at 6pm Central time and the Xbox 360 tourney will start at 8pm Central time. For those that can not make it to Friday's tournament and still want to compete or those that want a multi-day tournament. The multi-day tournament will begin the next day on Saturday Feb. 28, 2009. Post your info here (if you have already posted, no need to post again).

For the multi day tournament, if you can't make it on the first day(02-28-09) for whatever reason. You can either postpone the match to the next day (can't make it Sat, you have until Sun 11:59 pm to complete the match) or you can pass and the other person gets a bye. Most of the tracking will be done by you cags, since this multiday tournament is spreadout. Winners of the match, please post the outcome of the matches. If you guys can get the ball rolling (A and B matched up, C and D matched up. A wins match and posts. D wins match and posts. A and D notices that they will be fighting next, they get together and have their match...and so on), I hope that made sense.

Alright....lists have been updated with current people that have posted their info (up to post #31). Please double check it to see if everything is correct. If it is not, please post the correction in this thread or pm me. Also If you decide to change your main, please post or pm.

So far 2 people would like the tourney to be a one day thing vs 1 person would prefer multi-days. Since it is 2 vs 1, I'm leaning towards the one day tourney. What day/time is good for everyone? I am suggesting Thursday night, Friday night, or sometime over the weekend

Would you guys prefer a central place for the SFIV tournament info here or would you guys like platform specific ones (PS3, Xbox 360, PC thread)?

For 2nd tourney (random character one), did you guys want to restrict any characters like Akuma, Gokuen, or Seth?

I prefer a multi-day tournament since I'm usually busy and I doubt I'll be able to make the 1-day tournament. I also don't think any characters should be excluded. Gouken and Seth aren't even that good. Seth is really hard to use and takes a lot of damage.

Agreed. Assuming this is going to be best 2/3 matches, I think the standard tourney rule of winner keeps character, loser can change if they want to should be allowed.

Hopefully there won't be that many draws/double K.O.s/disconnects during the tourney. With so many people that signed up with the intent on participating, the tourney will most likely take a few days.

I only ask that people list their main/s is/are because if we have a random character tournament, people getting their mains would most likely make the playing field uneven. I think the multiday tourney is a good but flawed idea. Maybe next time, we could institute a time limit that your opponent has to at least acknowledge the matchup and then give an approximate day and time to meet up online via PM. We were confused to whether it would be one game or 2 out of 3 games. I think next/future tournaments should have something consistent as far as format goes.

Also, as you can see, a lot of matches aren't getting played due to people not being able to hook up with their first round opponents.

I played gigan54 and lost. GG, I need to quit whiffing my ultras. Your combos into ultras are awesome to watch, even though I am getting pummeled, lol. Dan's ultra hit was just lucky timing. You threw a fireball, I accidently triggered it. I let him replace my opponent that never responded to pm's and a friend request. Good luck to everyone remaining. I believe it would have been helpful if the bracket was posted over a weekend and then the match ups could be fought any time over the next week. The opponents then have a full week to fight, any time they choose. Then repeat for each round until the tournament is over. Thanks for organizing this OP and I hope to fight again in another one.
