I have been going crazy looking for a 360 arcade fight joystick. For some reason Microsoft keeps their drivers on strict lock down so most 3rd party manufacturers have to get Microsoft approval for almost anything on their system. This makes the accessories already more expensive than most other new gen consoles accessories. Long story short, most 360 fight sticks are sold out everywhere and even a Hori fight stick that should be 40$ list price is going for well over 100$ on ebay new or used. Can anybody point me in a direction in which i can get a good fightstick new for 60$ or less.

There aren't many good sticks that cheap. Shoot for under 100. Start calling gamestops in the area. The Fightstick SE is 80 dollars new. They are hard to find, but not impossible. I picked one up an hour and a half away last night!

I thought I'd reply, because I'm in the same boat. Right now is a terrible time to buy a fight stick. With the release of Street Fighter IV, everything that's decent is sold out and being inflated on eBay.

If $60 is your budget, I'd look at the Hori Fighting Stick EX2 (there's also Virtua Fighter 5 and Soul Caliber IV versions of this stick, same stick). $40-$60 seems to be a fair price on those (under normal circumstances). They're tough to find right now (I've been calling around all over), so waiting till the hype dies down a bit may be your best bet.

I looked closely at the Mad Catz SE stick that the previous post mentioned and I'm staying far away from it. Yeah, you can mod it with a better stick and buttons, but you're looking at spending $100. The off-the-shelf, $80 version is getting some pretty poor reviews from many owners who are stating the stick gets really loose and unresponsive with relatively little use.

The following link is a great resource for looking at the quality of your options . If you're not looking for a pro stick, something in the "B" range should give you great return for the money.

Good call - I forgot about that deal (I had no luck in Colorado, but this is a great buy if there's one floating around near you).

Actually, Cheko, I have a DOA4 arcade stick that I want to sell. It's slightly used, but works perfectly. I'm selling it because I want to get a Fightpad instead.

I'm in the Bronx area (if you're in the city). If you're interested, PM me.

It's been a while, but I have some pictures of the stick. They're small because they were taken with a cell phone, but they clearly show the good condition of the stick.
