Well MadCatz say they have very few cases of people with broken sticks (less than 50 at the time of the 1UP article). I was curious if lthis is holding true. Is this the usual BS the PR people are trained to give or are they for real. It's pretty obvious what the answer is but let's give everybody a fair shake.
So here an informal poll. It's pretty simple, vote either "Broken" or "Not Broken."

I have a 360 SE FIghtStick...straight out of the box, I have trouble jumping diagonal right and blocking right. Thank goodness I put in my order with Lizard Lick last week for the parts to swap into it...and that's the main reason why I'm not butt-hurt about it.
Oh yeah, that and my 360 TE Fightstick works like a dream.8-)

I heard there will be new sticks available at the end of April. Hope they fixed all the problems.

@Markman. Can you give me some advice... I have the chance to get a TE stick. Should I go for it or wait for the new batch. Thanks

It's your call. The only thing I suggest is to NOT pay exorbitant prices like on ebay or other sites.

Why not? Thanks to the rarity I scored over 300 dollars profit.

well if ure gonna use it a lot then yes, but asking MarkMan isn't a good idea because his answer will be bias, no offense MarkMan.
its like asking someone who works for SCEA "hey should i buy a 60gb ps3?"
or someone from MSFT if u should buy a jasper 360.
course theyll say yes.
if u really think ure gonna use it then yes because if u upgrade the parts on another stick theyll cost about the same and included times plus tools and crap.
to the other dude who replied, i think hes gonna use it not flip it.

I've seen some reports about the pads too, mine is fine.
This whole controller launch was super disappointing though.
Markman - you're a great member of the community, but if anyone else hyped their product as much as you hyped the madcatz SFIV line, they'd pretty much get ignored from now on. I know you don't have control over production, but still.

Yea, that sucks.
Mad Catz is doing what they can to ensure future production runs of controllers will be higher quality.
Regarding the TE stick + pricing...
The only reason I tell people not to pay exorbitant prices for the TE now is because more are coming.
Also Furashu, I'm not biased at all. I don't play that. It's quick to assume that someone is, but I'm not. I'll tell everyone straight up, a VSHG is superior in build/frame quality to any stick out there, etc.
I like fighting games and fighting game controllers all the same. Last time I checked I still loved arcade sticks. ;)
