I'm sitting here doing my Federal Work study assignment, and my supervisor is gone due to high water from all the damn rain we've had today. So, here I am, in the office, douching around, and getting 8 bucks an hour. Aside from the occasional phonecall, since my boss is gone, there's nothign to do. For the past hour or so I've built a pyramid out of staple boxes, sent a fax of my middle finger to a friend one floor down, surfed on CAG(duh), and rearranged the letters in the window to say "I am Count Nancy". I'm fresh out of ideas. What do you guys do in the office when you're bored? There's literally NO work to do, and I'm required to stay here for another hr-2hrs.

Usually, I sit there and think of something to look up on the internet. I always think of the coolest things to look up when I'm driving or don't have the net available, so I usually try to remember that kinda stuff.

Or I just look up funny clips of people hurting themselves. That's always a good way to pass the time.

I love taking dumps at work, too. Nothing like getting paid to shit.

Try writing a short story. It's pretty interesting to see what you can come up with. At my last job I wrote 2 novels, 4 screenplays and 6 short stories.

I get 8 an hour at the supermarket, though your job is probably better in every way, and looks better on a resume. Still, you should at least get 9.

I'm not complaining. I'm basically a glorified secretary. I answer calls, do some minor book-keeping, run errands etc. The only problem wiht the place is that I can only have like 10-15 hrs a week thanks to my schoolwork. Well, at least I have a nice comfortable office chair.

The best place to defecate would be the 5th floor of the library. MY god, so quiet and secluded. I actually go out of my way to crap there.

Oh, here's another good one. Find a magnifying glass and burn shit! That's the funnest thing to do while your bored.

One time I wondered whether matches would light if you tried with a magnifying glass, and sure enough they did.

I don't do it too much anymore because I'm fairly busy during the week except for Fridays, but burn plants and insects. Bugs are the best, though.

When I worked at a grocery store, we'd always have weird shitting incidents in the bathroom.

One time, it literally looked like someone's anus exploded in the toilet. The way the shit was stuck to the sides of the toilet and on the toilet seat were insane!

Oh, we also had people who'd like to write their names with their own shit on the walls. I really don't understand why they thought it was funny.

Also my friends would take Polaroids of their shit and post them to the store bulletin board. That was pretty, funny though. People would look at them to see who was selling their truck, only to be surprised by a floating turd.

im at work now myself, doing pretty much the same things as u (answer the occassional call)

to keep myself busy i typcially check my fantasy baseball and football teams, play some poker on ultimatebet, if you have a tv in the office i highly recommend that to pass some time, we have a tv with a built in vcd so i bring some vhs in sometimes, but i wish we had a dvd player...

but when you run out of things to do it can get real boring real quick

Well, I'm signing off for a few because I just found out that the copier in the staff supply room(that no one uses on this floor for some reason) actually shoots out paper! I have to see this in action! I'll file a report later on.

In my old job (which was 100x better than my current job), I'd have at least a few hours a day that were dead. I basicly answered the phone and sent the delivery trucks to the right place.. Security office. Anyway, I had one of those huge 4 inch tv's from the 80s, but nothing came in except PBS. I figured out that the radio antenna on the roof that was connected to my radio on the desk (walkie talkies basicly) made a great TV antenna...

There sure were a lot of sunspots interfering with the radios that year. Funny how the TV was fine.

I did have the internet at that job for a while but they moved it. I only had it because I made the ID badges but they made it someone elses job because they didn't want a ton of people there for ID's.

Consider yourself lucky for getting $8 an hour for workstudy. Last year I got about $5.15 an hour. And you couldn't believe how happy I was when I found out they raised it to $6 an hour this year.

I used to work 8-10 hours some days during my school years being lab assistant in a college computer lab of dumb terminals... this was before the web was around... and I had little to help people with, so ended up BBS'in or MUDing for hours and hours and hours at a time.

And getting paid for it.

Those were good days.

Well, the copier kept me entertained for a good 20-25 minutes. After a while of loading in the same ream of paper, and hitting "Run", and watching the sheets fly out of the other end I went to class, came back and....now NO ONE is here. Not even custodial staff. Yet, I'm required ot be here another hour or so. Epobirs, I'm going to ask this girl out tonight, and I think that could be the line to get her to agree. "I'm not much to talk to, but god knows I enjoy proper feminine cleanliness. Mind if I shoot salt-water up your pink demon?" It'll work. It has to.
Oh, Sying, I've not set foot in a Gamestop since that black day. Not even into a store that is 100 miles (my rough distance) away form my old job. At anyrate, back to finding stuff to do.

Glad I could be of help.

Some women consider it terribly romantic if a man will perform some task upon their body, like a pedicure. I'd say split the difference and go directly to that part of here where freshness is really appreciated. Be sure to mention the availability of flavored douches and the bonus that offers for her.

As a side note, has anyone ever noticed that with many teenage/college girls; their intelligence is directly correlated with the amount of "Like"s they use in a complete thought? I've noticed that after using 2 "like"s in a thought, their acumen decreases significantly for everyone thereafter. In my Political Science course, for example, there is a certain girl whose IQ rivals that of my morning bowel movement. I noticed over the past week that everytime she says anything, it is interjected with 1-2 "like"s. Every sentence. The girl who sits directly behiond her, while none too quick, shows a stronger grasp on a general array of concepts and only uses "Like" every other sentence or so. Has anyone else noticed a phenomena such as this at their institute of higher learning(or job)?

(Shameless gloat) I end up playing games I don't have to review. When I am 'working' 2/3rds of my work involves getting through a game I need to review and 1/3 is spent calling and emailing game companies for new games (for both myself and the various media outlets I work for).

The best place to defecate would be the 5th floor of the library. MY god, so quiet and secluded. I actually go out of my way to crap there.

Plus you have unlimited free reading material close at hand!

When I was 16 I actually had a job as a librarian's assistant. At first I thought it was extremely boring because all we did was repair books, shelve books and check them to make sure they were in alphabetical order. This was before all schools and libraries had public internet, so I would get really bored until I discovered something...the head librarian never checked to see what I was reading. I had free access to all the library's porn! XD And anything else I wanted to read. You wouldn't believe how many people donate pornographic books, manuals, and magazines to a library. And since I was in the library's back room half the time repairing books, I got to see stuff that was brought in and that would never be put out on the bookshelves for the public to see.

Whoa, that is some interesting stuff. I never knew libraries had porn. I guess they keep it all in the back, eh? That must be why the librarians are always in the back room. Having some good fun with the ol Rockin' Rabbit.
