Its the little part at the end of an Xbox controller that detaches from itself if you pull too hard so you don't pull your Xbox off whatever its on.

This is true but sometimes somebody might have lost the controller and still have the breakaway. I don't need it for a lost controller I need to do some modding so I can use my Xbox controller on my PC.
