Cant stand how most game trailers that come out are a whirlwind of camera shots, barely noticeable gameplay and some blurry effect on top of it. Does every game have to be a big fucking secret? Its just a growing trend that makes me less excited about watching a new trailer, because i know it'll be something where almost zero gameplay is shown.

And if the devs are going to make a trailer, make one i'll care about, not just some shots of "look its a racing game, but its sooooo super cool we cant show you too much."

Take a look, heres a recent example:

I'm supposed to get excited over this??

Mysterious? You mean worthless.

Edit: What game is that? Looks like Burnout.

i think its worse when they hype those things up on videogame shows and when you finally see it its all crap. or those ones they make for games that eventually never see the light of day ( robotech crystal dreams).

Just to get your interest and hype. After the quick camera angles and special effects, most people are amazed and want to know more about it.

According to the embed, Split/Second (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/961/961361p1.html). It's like a cross between Burnout and Stuntman by the Disney group that brought you Pure.

Bingo. How many times have you watched a trailer that you knew nothing about and go to the weird URL they have at the end. Just like when State Farm did those commercials where they never said anything, just put the URL. Brilliant marketing.

If theyre going to waste my time on a 30 second commercial to visit a webpage, they got another thing coming.
