thinking of getting it, but dont have a GBA for multiplay. Is the game fun enough with one person?
thanks,

I liked it, but it shouldn't even have the FF name on it :P
That statement alone should let you know that quality of the title is not up-to-snuff.
Anyways, it's much better multiplayer and gets boring with single player.

If you're only gonna play 1P, don't bother buying it. You won't experience it the way it should be and it will get stale quickly. If you want to try it out though, a rental should be fine for you to enjoy for a bit.

NO. Again.

I was able to play both with friends and by myself. With friends, the game is actually great; yelling, telling your friends to go to a certain place, and working together to make combos is great. By yourself, there's obviously less hype (unless you yell at yourself), and I did notice it got stale after a while.

Nope, I dont think its worth it one player. Just added my 3 cents.

Perhaps if you can get it for below $20. Might be worth having in reserve in case an outbreak of GBA ownership occurs in your home and you need to brign them all together.

Nope, not for 1-player. Like Moxio said, it is best played multiplayer.

My nephew bought this when it first came out and I never bothered playing it after reading the manual.

No, not worth it for single player. Again, awesome fun if you have enough friends with GBAs.

I rented it for a couple weeks and enjoyed the game- again, if the price is right and you are looking for for something to pick up, give it a try. Yes, multiplayer is more fun, but it has high production values and is still fun.

It is most certainly NOT worth getting for the single player game. I never got to play the multiplayer game because I sold it. Like the OP I didn't have enough GBA's. It's definitely not a engaging single player game.

Best played mutli, however you might hate the fact that the controls don't change at all even if you do one player... meaning, you still have to cycle between attacking, blocking, magic and items. Yes, that's right, you use ONE BUTTON for all those things. The shoulder buttons cycle those commands.
Crystal Chronicles is like the Kirby Air Ride of Final Fantasy games. You use one button for almost everything, and that fucking sucks.

Yeah I bought it for 1p because of lack of GBA's then sold it because it gets so repetitive/boring. Luckily I only spent 18 on it

The DS version of Final Fantasy CC looks to have some real potential. That's definetly going to be a buy for me.

I got this game for 18 when it came out as well, and also receieved 3 free link cables. So I played this with a few buddies. The multiplayer game is really good imo, and a nice change. As you have to work together beating down bosses and going through the story together. As well as stealing food and treasure for yourself :). The single player is ok, but its only avg imo. If you want a good single player then make another selection out of the PS2 library, and the gba if you have that as well.
