Free Wipeout HD for creating a new Austrian PSN Account

When you create a new Austrian PSN account (not Australian!) between March 16 and April 18 they will send you a code for Wipeout to the email used during registration.

You can create an account by going the the UK site, here (https://secure.eu.playstation.com/sign-in/?PSNReg=true). Select Austria as your country.

Use google translator (http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en#) to complete the forms. (German > English)

Codes will be sent out after the promotion period ends.

I don't see why it would matter. They just need your email address.

Based on the translation I think you'll be okay if you register via the PS3.
Simply use the PS3 to go online, register and create an account - to the registry at the given email address will be after the end of the operation period, access to the racing fun shipped.

Pretty much. Plus there's a distinct possibility that someone noticed that waaaaaay more people signed up for this than own PS3s in Austria. Then again, maybe only a few people actually did, who knows?

Yeah if he posted a screen shot I'd actually believe him. Anyone can write a small line in German.

I'm guessing we won't see them till at least next Monday if we ever. It seems like it would be a rather simple thing to program something that would just filter IPs not in Austria, and email the codes.

Or it's also possible (someone brought this up on another forum) you have to register your PS3 to that Austrian account.

How is it not a real answer? They probably have gotten wise to this sort of thing since the similar japan promo they had a while back, and check the IP used to sign up for the account, and if it's not from the right area, they didn't get it. We all took a chance using false info, and everyone's acting butthurt like Sony screwed us all over.
