Coke Giving Away 3 Million Microsoft Points (UK Residents)

Pepsi did it with iTunes. Now you may be able to get a few free Xbox 360 games courtesy of Coca-Cola and Microsoft.

According to Computer and Video Games (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=210940), the pair are teaming up to give away $37,000 worth of Xbox 360 Microsoft Points via Xbox Live this week. It's all part of a Happiness Factory promotion, which will be "first come, first serve."

Once you enter, you'll be taken to the Coke Zone site, where you can register your points and spend them as you please on Xbox Live. All while presumably drinking Coke. Isn't life grand?

Sorry for the OT post, but I want to clarify that you can 'transfer' the XBL download content to a new console:

When your console dies, log onto that page with your UK gamertag, transfer the content to the new console, launch the UK gamertag on the new console ONCE to re-dl the content/license, and then use from your main account as before.

Just FYI, for anyone not aware of how it works, all gamertags on the console can use all content that was purchased/downloaded on that console by any of the gamertags... So, even though the DLC was downloaded with your UK account, your normal account (on the same console) will be able to access/use that content, too.

Example: I purchase a bunch of XBLA games with my (gold) account, then ALL of my kids can play those XBLA games using their own (silver) accounts as long as they are playing on my console. When my console dies, I use the page above to transfer the licenses, and the kids are up and playing again. Same goes for DLC, etc.

Also, I believe you can change your Live account 'location' once every 30 days for free?
