Anyone know if that pad is good?

From the looks of it, it appears to be one of those standard 3rd party pads that are thin and are good for people playing on beginner or light. If you play on standard or heavy, it probably won't be good enough

Ive seen these at the frys store.. They are decent.. Definately not worth the 29.99 MSRP... Although they do work pretty good since at the B&M store they have it taped to the floors and it works fine.

This is a good deal none the less... Even if you already have good pads..

All it'd take is some slight modding to turn a bad pad into a good one.

This is a good deal. For anyone interested in modding a standard pad like this, check out:

They're reliable in a sense where they aren't going to double charge you or charge you for something you didn't recieve, but there have been stories about them taking a long time to ship or cancelling orders.

ok thanks. i know theres no tax for me. but i think the shipping kills the deal. unless the pad is worth it

The 21st. I've been counting down daily for at least a month now.

Is there an official dance pad (like come with the game)? Like GunCon2 or DonkeyKonga Bongo?

I haven't played DDR at home since the original PS1 games and my pads broke. Like 5 maybe 6 years ago?

Now I'm strongly considering this and modding the pad since I'm older, more capable, and can afford it. Anyone here mod a pad before? I know DDRfreak has the directions and all but some direct advice would be nice.

Man I wish they would offer free shipping too because it came out almost 50 for me.

Not really.. there was a pad that was bundled with DDRMAX2 I believe that was a more "official" pad.. but it's just as crappy as any other store bought soft pad... I bought 2 of the cheapies and modded them as described on DDRFreak mounting them onto fiberboard and covering them with plastic hardwood floor protector sheets. Mine are still going strong after 5 months of heavy usage on standard mode. I do not recommend using softpads at all without modding them in such a fashion. They will slip around on your floor making them highly unreliable and will break after a few weeks of moderate usage.

You can get the official pad if you buy the game for $60 at Gamestop.com or Ebgames.com... it might even be $50 at Ebgames (too lazy to check).
