I'm not sure a seal can become a pirate either. It would be tough to plunder and pillage without any hands or legs. A pirate monkey, yes, a pirate seal, no.

I guess a chocobo could be a pirate. You can at least stand on one leg and kick people. Besides the new chocobos in FFXII look pretty intimidating.
