I've always been interested in the Dragon Quest series. With it's story book artwork and it's simple storylines, and I've heard five is the place to start. Problem is, Square-Enix SELLS ME A PORT FOR FORTY DOLLARS. I'd pay for it if it was in an acceptable $25 through $30 range. But I'm not budging any for anymore.
Thank's to anyone who

I'm in on this. I need to find a cheap price for V becuase I got jipped on IV (paid 50 bucks when I should have waited).

If it follows suit, Amazon should make it a DOTD somewhere along the way, like they did with DQIV. That was $25.99 or $26.99 shipped with Free Super Saver Shipping. They did the same with Chrono Trigger as well, both in the last few months.

I'll keep my eye's peeled.

DQIV went down to 19.99 on deal of the day on amazon at one point, Sears has clearanced out Dragon Quest Joker for 5$, Dragon Quest rocket slime dropped in price. This game will also drop in price or be clearanced somewhere, so be patient.

If you absolutely, positively, must have it now, you can check your local EB/GS locations. I know that we have a lot of RPG fans locally so it's not a good general stock indicator around the country, but I've seen at least six different used DQ5's sitting on the shelves in the past few days.
So $35 (all but one with manual and case), less 10% Coupon, less 10% Edge. $28 plus tax...not bad, but not eye-catching. But if a DS coupon rolls around soon, then $24.50 plus tax.

It's a port of a remake, and that remake never came here. And it's got a TON of text that was newly translated. And when you break it down to hours versus dollars, $40 for this is just about the best deal for any game released this year.
...but yeah, I'm waiting too.
