Only want Mass Effect.
Are they sale go really fast? do I need to be there first day to ensure my copy of Mass Effect?

SickBoy

Nintendo hardware products are always released on Sundays.

I'm aware that's common Nintendo practice, I was asking whether it was common for EB to start a sale on a Sunday. :)

The flyer deals won't go so quickly since you can't flip them (which means RFDs won't be all over it) so you'll have a good chance at it. The daily deals on the other hand... ahem well.

I'm aware that's common Nintendo practice, I was asking whether it was common for EB to start a sale on a Sunday. :)

They're probably doing it to coincide with the DSi launch.

Assume the sale starts on the normal day (Friday, Saturday, whatever). They just don't have access to stock until Sunday

what better a reason for people to come in, dsi released and a huge sale!

So what deems a used game to be a best seller?

I mean will I be able to tell just by going to the store and looking at the shelves?

I've been holding out for COD4 to come down in price for the PC :wall: The flyer doesn't list any pc games... anyone know if game days are good for us pc gamers?

Hmm. Seems I've missed the boat on this. Didn't realize this "huge" sale was going to start soon. Just took a look at that flyer on their website, but nothing really caught my eye. Granted I only have a PS2 and am only looking for a few more games to round out my collection. Oh well. Maybe there's going to be some decent stuff for the unadvertised daily deals and I can get some gifts for people. Thanks for the heads up.

I bought SOCOM with headset a few days ago at full price and now they have it on sale at 20 dollars off.

Does EB do price adjustments? I'm kinda pissed about this, whenever I buy something it somehow drops in price almost immediately.

I think it depends on the individual store. I was able to get back the difference on a game (Elebits) that had a price drop 1 week after I bought it.

I got Too Human today for 989 new. It was gutted but for ten bucks I won't complain. It was 8.99 used too but I figure if I pay 10 for a new one, the Canadian Dev that made the game will benefit.

My EBGames said that Rock Band: AC/DC is a Walmart exclusive... is that in Quebec only?

towhytea
04-04-2009, 06:13 PM
Walmart in the states has exclusive rights. Here in Canada its sold everywhere at least in Ont it is. the only thing i can think of is that fact the game is in English only or at least minen is. so ur law 101 or whatever it is might be why ur having issues.

My EBGames said that Rock Band: AC/DC is a Walmart exclusive... is that in Quebec only?

It's 'cause Too Human sucked, everyone has ME and Pokemon will sell for full price regardless of the quality (hell people would pay full price even if you had to assemble the damn cart yourself!) which is true for most Nintendo dev/published games.

For the pokemon games the flyer states "6 days only Apr 9-14".

Not apart of the game days, but I picked up lotr battle for middle earth 2 for $3.99, worth a try. Also got the acdc track pack, couldn't find too human though, gonna try another EB tomorrow.

No. Burlington (about 20 miles north) has 2 Gamestops across the street from each other: it also has a factory outlet so your mom can go shopping there. But the deals are different of course. :)

oh, quick question, since this is my first game days sale...

there are other unmentionable games on sale right???

like old ps2, GC, GBA games that went down in price that is not mentioned in the flyer and not part of the weekly/daily deals.?

imcrazy
04-05-2009, 12:27 AM
I'm holding out for Folklore. I've been waiting eons for it to drop in price at EB (got tons of credit).

Left4Dead PC would be nice too, but very unlikely.

zoro69
04-05-2009, 12:41 AM
"there are other unmentionable games on sale right???"

As it went last year...there were a number of games at 9.89 unadvertised that would last for a random number of days. *most* of which weren't all that great, and ended up cheap again elsewhere shortly afterwards. there were a few AAA titles, metroid probably the only one that was good and has never been cheap again, but massively hoarded to trade to BBV at the time. New blood was the other top title (later cheap at amazon for a long time). Unbrella chronicles wasn't the best game but hasn't gone cheap. Other stuff like Manhunt 2, super swing golf, battalion wars, TH proving ground, balcksite, GH III...were subsequently cheap.

You might find older stuff with the select 14.99 and less 2 for $20...which isn't a huge deal being you don't get the edge discount

Bencherstyle

Picked up all used today for the 360

Too Human $8.99
Mirror's Edge $17.99
Lost Planet $3.99 (case was not platinum hits but the guy but the plat his in there)

Best part of it was that I come home and turn on my 360 and got a RRoD . This is now my 2nd console in 2 years, I think I may just buy a new elite or the RE5 one and sell my old one.

Nothing to contribute as far as our sale goes, but I was in the States this weekend and there Game Days sale is rather lame. Some decent DS games on sale, though.. FFTA2 for $20, and Chrono Trigger for $20 as well. Other than that, nothing that great.

There's nothing "new" today because there are no price changes on Sundays, only Monday-Saturday. The reason why the sale unofficially started yesterday instead of today, the actual start date is because the prices had to be changed on the Saturday in order to be in effect for today.

Today i checked the ebagme at galerie d'anjou and the one at the place versaille in montreal.

at the galerie d'anjou there was 1 GH:aerosmith for ps3 left, some new and used mass effect and too human. No ACDC or GH:aerosmith for xbox.

for place versaille, nothing much has changed from my last post, there is some new and old mass effect and some used too human, thats it.

Oh well, seem like this will be my last dailly update for those 2 stores since non frequent poster arent wanted here anymore

Uh, Chrono Trigger for $20 would have been an instant buy for me. I had the dude at my local EB double check the price on it here and its $45. Fuck that.

I would also easily grab FFTA2 for $20.

As it is, I only got The World Ends With You (I suspect I may still never actually play this game) and a used Wii Sports.

I went to my local Gamestop -

I picked up the last copy of Too Human (it was gutted, but eh at that price...) and me and the clerk took time to check the list of price changes he received saturday. He noticed that Bourne Conspiracy for the PS3 and 360 was at 19,99$ new / 17,99 PO. I also picked up a copy of Bourne - I'm a big fan of the movies.

EDIT: Whoa... I posted message #333... that number has freaked me out ever since playing Eternal Darkness... which was also a Silicon Knights game *looks at Too Human*, which is all the more evidence that SK is starting to somehow take hold over aspects of my life. XD

Managed to pick up completely sealed copies of Too Human and Mass Effect, so that's pretty sweet...
I asked if they had any daily or weekly deal going on, but the employees there had no clue. They didn't even think it happened last year (then how can they explain my $5 Jak X purchase during Game Days in '08? =3), and they were all new employees (god, I go to games stores too much), so they were somewhat clueless on the whole concept.
If anyone figures out what those daily or weekly deals are, be sure to let us all know. =D (Or, at least, PM me the details... =3)

Wii - $10 - New: Imagine Babies, Heavenly Guardian, Alone in the Dark.

PS3 - $10 - New: NBA Live 08, NBA 08, AC/DC Live, Guitar Hero Aerosmith.

I tried to find out about some deals when I picked up my DSi and Rhythm Heaven from Gamestop today but I failed.

I brought up some games I'd been eyeing recently, Civ Revolution DS, Lock's Quest and Hatsworth and I asked if they could check to see the price on them, but the guy denied me, saying the system didn't work that way, that any sort of price drop would be tacked on after it was rung in. Ah well.

Civ Revolution DS and Lock's Quest are both $20 as it so are good pick ups, but I had a hunch they might get dropped $5 or something :(

I haven't tried it yet but I was a massive fan of the GBA Rhythm Tengoku so I'm assuming it's excellent. I liked Rhythm Tengoku so much that the DS Rhythm Heaven was an instant buy for me regardless of the price, so I have no idea if it was $29 or $35 or $39 :D

It's not worth the hassle for Too Human (or any $10 deals). A used one is $9, new is $10. At that rate paying an extra dollar for a near-mint copy is reasonable.

Has anyone ever bitched about getting the used price for a gutted copy? Since obviously it is no longer new...

I've never tried, but I'm sure they get that all the time. I refuse gutted games on a regular basis (at least 1 or 2 times a month), and they always jump into a really defensive argument mode. When I'm not being rude or arguing, I'm just politely saying I don't want it...

When I was getting the AC/DC disk, the guy didn't include the manual, even though I saw it. I asked if he could put it in, he said he didn't have it. Then I said I saw it right there and he was like "oh shit!"

I don't mind gutted on the shelves, just as long as I get everything that was supposed to come with the game at the cash register. No way I'm gonna buy a new game without a manual. You can't even use the excuse it comes with no manual because it's new!

Um, except for the fact that gutted copies often are played. It's a perk for EB Games employees (or it's an abuse of the system by a few employees in certain stores - take your pick.)

If I'm paying for a gutted copy, I'll check any other retailers first to look for a sealed version at similar price. If none is available, I'll look for a used copy and ask to see the condition of the disc. Am I anal? Yeah... but part of the fun of ownership is opening up a brand new game and seeing everything pristine and untouched. (~OCD OCD~)

I do the same. I go for sealed if there's none I go used then new but open. Most games I don't care about manuals but some games you get free DLC so I make sure to get manuals with some games.

I don't know why people have been having such bad luck with gutted copies. Anytime that I have bought a gutted copy, the game disc and manuel are always mint. However, I must admit that the games just don't feel "100% new" unless I get to remove the wrapper from the game... nothing says consumerism like indecomposible cellophane!

I was just into my local EB Games (in the east) and picked up "Too Human" and the AC/DC track pack ... pretty good prices.

The employee I spoke with said the daily unadvertised deals would likely start tomorrow. They don't know what they will be until the morning of each day, but said he had a pretty good idea (and pointed at the stock levels of certain games behind the counter). No guarantees, but they seemed to have a lot of "Left 4 Dead" and "Prince of Persia" ... of course, that was just one store.

I guess I'm only interested in games for the 360, so there will probably be some days that won't be worth it for me (i.e. Wii or DS only daily deals). But if it runs all month, there's bound to be something good show up ...

I find that normally if I bring a gutted copy to the counter and they have sealed copies, they will just set the gutted one aside and give me a sealed one. Less work for them as they don't have to gut a new copy to display ;)

I think people are kinda delusional on their expectations for 9.89 unadvertised stuff. Think older stuff that didn't sell that well, often not the best reviewed, or about to fall in price everywhere that they are overstocked in. Like is seen when they randomly have game of the day. Short of metroid and maybe Battalion 2 they were all in that category last year.

good deals at 9.89...but not recent top selling full price games.

95% of the time it's never an issue... but why worry about that 5% when you're buying something that is supposed to be new? Also, if you are buying games as a gift then gutted copies suck.

The employee I spoke with said the daily unadvertised deals would likely start tomorrow. ...

Thanks for the heads up.

Even though there were only be two or three really interesting games (for me) during the whole sale last year, the awesome prices on those games justified repeated stop-bys to see what was available. Hopefully it'll be just as good this year.

Expectations might be too high from some... but there are many fun, older games that would be worth buying if they saw a price-drop.

For example, I'm dreaming about maybe playing Dokapon Kingdom, Godfather, Chocobo's Dungeon, Kororinpa, Samba de Amigo, or PES 2008 on my Wii without a large cash outlay. Older budget games like Ghost Squad or House of the Dead 2 & 3 could also be good pickups at $10 -- or even better at $5 used.

None of those games were blockbusters worth full MSRP to me, but any one of them would $10 to try. Will any of those specific games show up on sale? Probably not... but it doesn't hurt to look and hope.

Yeah, I missed out on the deal for "Halo 3" last year ($5 used, $10 new) ... that price would have more than made up for some of the other titles that didn't appeal to me. I took a look down at my nearby EB during lunch today and it looks to me like this Game Days promotion is a real bust compared to last year. They had tons of deals and dedicated displays with stacks of games during the last sale. This time there were no obvious deals (and no easy way to find them) save for the flyer.

I wandered down to EB and saw a few things on the shelf that seemed to have mark downs. Only one of them had a red sticker though, so maybe some of these mark downs are old hat to hardcore CAGs.

Unreal Tournament 3 PS3 $19 (red tag so new for this week maybe?)
Mad World - $44
Condemned 2 - $19
Motorstorm Pacific Rift - $39
Farcry 2 PS3 - $39
EndWar PS3 - $19
Haze - $14 (lol)
Prince of Persia - $39

Didn't see any real DS deals. I didn't see any door busting $9.99 deals like last time either. There were no displays at all so this might not be a sale that changes on a daily basis.

Ah well some of these deals probably are pretty old then.

EB Games has a lot of problems keeping their prices up to date because of their massive stock and tiny handful of workers. I see bizarre price differences all the time between stores. At the Gamestop in Vancouver Lock's Quest is $19.99 but at the EB downtown it's $24.99. Despite the difference in name the stores are the same and I'm pretty sure they use the same computer systems etc so it's really must be that the EB downtown staff are massively overworked and don't have the time to keep everything up to date.

The Gamestop in Vancouver is probably the quietest, most serene game store I've ever been in (I don't think anyone knows it exists yet).

There's a Gamestop on 8th near the Cambie/Broadway area. It's on a sidestreet along the new Home Depot along with a new TD Bank. With the new Skytrain stop on Cambie/Broadway that whole corridor is filling in with new stores. There's a new Cafe Artigiano, Whole Foods and London Drugs near there too.

That skytrain will be good for carless Vancouver CAGers. You can go from downtown EB/Futureshop to BestBuy/Gamestop further down to Oakridge mall EB/Zellers.

Skytrain isn't finished yet, but when it is (scheduled date Labour day in September) it's two blocks north of the Cambie/Broadway station on 8th on the east side of Cambie.

So I don't know otherwise the "easiest" is the 99 bus if you're getting off along broadway or whatever bus goes across the cambie if you're downtown, which is 15 but I don't know where that stops.

Not quite. Many stores have a policy stating that they'll give it to you for the sticker price, but there is no law forcing them. Having worked retail, I've seen plenty of people try to swap stickers on merchandise, and claim that they are now entitled to the sticker price.
Actual ads are treated differently, and if I recall correctly the retailer only needs to honor the ad once before they can discontinue it and quote the fine print to all the raging customers.

the competition act states its an offense to charge more then the ticketed price UNLESS its an error that is immediately corrected. Flyers etc not nonoured are supposed to have corrections posted. But there isn any enforcement of that kind of thing anyway. The last couple times that happened at eb they charged the sticker without problem when I pointed it out.

Looks like the wii ac/dc was supposed to be $25 being that is what is stickered at and people have said it scans at that

Nope. Price stickers are not binding. Until they accept your cash, prices are simply an invitation to do business, not a contract. They don't have to sell you the item, period, let alone for whatever price is on the sticker.

So I tell hiem, cant you call and ask if they are new? And off he goes...for ages. Comes back and says they told him they were new, but they can't be sure if they are!! So they wont pm. Someone else was telling him not to do it and he was grasping to come up with an excuse.

Weird, past couple times it was no problem pming eb, didnt even check stock.

Sigh, now I have to make complaints and go back to make them do it.

Oh I know all about making complaints about bs at BB/FS :). the only time I didn't was when they refused to pm with just a receipt when there was no flyer, given the policy does state advertsied price (even though other locations all do it without a flyer)

I thought things were different there with the gm having changed scince last year and it being no problem a couple of times.

there was only 1 male clerk on, so I had to break my rule...young girl clerks whenever possible for a pm.

Why do employees care so much for screwing customers out of deals in support of a company that is paying them just barely over minimum wage... Just let them do it instead of trying to find some loophole or making 130% sure it's legit... why waste all that time?

1) some of those retail dregs try to make a "career" out of it so to show the company they're "dedicated" and content on making $14 an hour as supervisors they try to defend the company.

2) they're kids and don't want to get fired.

3) they have a sense of pride rivaling those of evangelical holy men.

Here I am, high school kid trying to make enough money so I can pay off my cell phone bill and in walks zoro69 trying to PM some game. So I tell him I'll check and go talk with my other co-workers for a bit. Eventually I call EB but they're busy. Bummer. So I continue my convo with my co-worker (how about them Leafs?) and only remember later that I have to call EB again. Sigh. (Never mind the fact that there are dozens in the GTA, I only call one.)

I finally get through and half-listen: something about new and used. I leisurely walk back to zoro69 and basically shrug at him. He says something about calling to clarify. Whatever. I walk back there, remembering something about the Leafs and resume my conversation with my buddy. I call a couple times again (love that redial button) but my buddy tells me to just say no. Why didn't I think of that earlier?

So I walk back and tell zoro69 we can't do the PM. He asks why and I put the blame on my buddy's shoulders. I'm actually surprised he's still there considering we've gone through half of the Leafs' roster. But whatever, he walks away and I head back to talk about the rest of the Leafs.

Hey, look at the clock! Coffee break time.

There was this collector's edition mgs4 for 24.99 or 29.99 (but add the 5 dollar coupon off), because they seemed to labeled it twice. The regular mgs4 was 24.99 or 29.99 and the ce mgs4 behind the "24.99 or 29.99" one was like 30-40ish I think. So its a good snatch if somebody wants it. I forgot if its used but its gutted tho.

so if i find a game with a sticker labelled 4.99 and the worker scans it at 14.99...do they HAVE to give u the 4.99 price? wats the policy on this...cuz ive never been able to get at the lower stickered price :(

I think they are supposed to. I got a used NHL 2K9 for 4.99 (-10% for my edge card) because the wrong price tag was on it a couple of months ago. Also I don't know if they are a part of the "scanner code of practice" like Wal-Mart and Best Buy. So that might also come into play.

Nope they don't have to. Otherwise I'm going into a car dealership tomorrow and putting .99 stickers on all the cars then I'll head to Wal-Mart and go to the TV's and put .99 stickers on them and then I'll..... you get the idea.

If the price that they have advertised does not come up when it is scanned then they have to honour it but just sticking a random sticker on an item doesn't mean that you will get it for that price or that they have to sell it at that price.

Uhm that is actually fraud and can wind you in trouble really quick. Here is what I was was talking about in regards to the SCOP.

How does the code work?
If the scanned price of an non-price ticketed item is higher than the shelf price or any other displayed price, the customer is entitled to receive the item free, up to a $10 maximum. When the item has a price tagged, the lowest price applies. When identical items are incorrectly priced, the second one will be sold at the correct price. Under this code you are eligible.

http://www.ccgd.ca/en/PriceAcc.html

So I guess it's up to whoever is at the till at the time when it comes to EBG since they are not listed on the site. In my case it just looks like one of the staff was not paying attention and mispriced the 2K9 along with the 2K8. Guess I was just lucky that day.

As for EB honouring the lower price; anytime I've had that issue they've given it to me for the lower price (it's happened probably 2 or 3 times). Once time the guy said they "have to honour the ticketed price", but that's just one guy!

SCOP is an optional program. EB does not follow SCOP.

Further to this, the price tage at EB not only have the price but also the name of the game on them. For them to honour an incorrect price from someone taking a different price tag and sticking it on something else is a falacy.

2/$20 and $30 bins were a big disappointment (maybe greywolf already cleared out the good stuff? ;) )

I don't think it's just the bins. I was able to get two used $14.99 DS games for $20. Then again, it seemed like a new employee who wasn't 100% clear on the rules. She also game me the edge discount on top of it.

AFAIK, if you find a stickered price that says which game it is, and the price rings up differently, then you get the lower price. (e.g. you see a sticker on Gears of War 2 saying $29.99, and the sticker itself says "Gears of War 2," then they must honour the price.) This has be the standard operating procedure at all 3 of my retail jobs. Whether we were being courteous about it, or were legaly obliged to honour the less expensive price, I do not know.

I might be wrong but I was under the impression that individual pricing stickers they don't have to honour as mistakes happen stickers fall off or get moved from one item to another. But on shelf pricing they had to do the lower price. But this is only based on my experiences.

Believe what you want, holmes, but it is not correct.

Regarding mispriced goods: the response depends on store policy - not on any legal requirements. Advertised prices are slightly different, as has been mentioned previously.*

Stores do NOT have to honor price tags, and are NOT forced to do business with any particular customer. Stores DO have the right to refuse sales for any reason as long (as they are not being blatantly discriminatory) and CAN remove customers from the premises if they are causing any problems.

However, many stores will give customers the benefit of the doubt unless the tagged price looks suspicious or is simply too costly. Keeping customers happy is a worthwhile exercise in most cases, even if it means small losses... but doing so is not required.

"The customer is always right" is nothing more than a marketing slogan. Don't believe everything you hear.

http://www.competitionbureau.gc.ca/eic/site/cb-bc.nsf/eng/01224.html

Two main sections to see

The Competition Act specifically prohibits deceptive telemarketing, deceptive prize notices and schemes of pyramid selling, and sets out the responsibilities for operators and participants in multi-level marketing plans. Also addressed are deceptive marketing practices including, but not limited to, advertising at a bargain price a product that is not available in reasonable quantities; selling a product at a price above the advertised price; and conducting a contest, lottery, or game of chance or skill, without making adequate and fair disclosure of facts that materially affect the chances of winning.
The following "Dos and Don'ts" will help businesses comply with the Competition Act.
Dos

Do avoid fine print disclaimers. They often fail to change the general impression conveyed by an advertisement. If you do use them, make sure the overall impression created by the ad and the disclaimer is not misleading.
Do fully and clearly disclose all material information in the advertisement.
Do avoid using terms or phrases in an advertisement that are not meaningful and clear to the ordinary person.
Do charge the lowest of two or more prices appearing on a product.
Do ensure that you have reasonable quantities of a product advertised at a bargain price.
Do, when conducting a contest, disclose all material details required by the Act before potential participants are committed to it.
Do ensure that your sales force is familiar with these "Dos and Don'ts." Advertisers may be held responsible for representations made by employees.

The thing with putting price stickers on stuff at .99 would be considered fraud and not covered since they are not the price tags the store put out. The store isn't saying its that price, you are. Some guy got arrested a few years ago for making up upcs and stickering ipods at a walmart for $10. It's like someone walking into a store and saying a friend said a product was this price you have to sell it at this price now.

Now, off the derail. Any idea what the deals are for today? Or was the list dtp11 posted pretty much it?

Anyone know at what time EB Games stores close on weekdays? I'm at school until 4:30 today and quite a few games interest me in dtp11's last post.

Got plenty of decent $10 deals this time around, just not AAA titles (most of which I have anyway). All of these were purchased last night so I can't 100% vouch for stock or prices today, but you should be alright:

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (360), new - $9.89
Alone In The Dark (360), new - $9.89
AC/DC Rock Band Track Pack (360), new - $9.89
Too Human (360), new - $9.89
Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword (DS), used - $12.99
Mirror's Edge (360), new - $19.99
If you Metacritic the scores of half the games I bought they are low only because of a too-high launch price point which is easily remedied by paying ~$10 per game. Not too shabby of a haul.

I went to the local EB about 15 minutes before closing. An employee asked me if I needed help so I asked about the 2/20 deal. He had no idea what I was talking about so I showed him the flyer. He stumbled around for a minute then decided he would ask his buddy. So I stand there waiting for like 2 minutes while he waits for his coworker to finish with a customer. I decide to go look at some games while I wait. 10 minutes later I am wondering what happened to the guy, so I go back up to the counter and ask him if he found out what the deal was. He says something like "no I didn't get a chance to ask about it and technically we are closed now..." I couldn't believe it. I just told him forget it and walked out empty handed. Fucking ridiculous.

Any reason to choose the PS3 version of Mirror's Edge over 360? There's just one extra DLC map for PS3 right?

Or is the PC version the one to get?

Best buy has now declared they will be pming the eb flyer.

Bizarre explanation how they were just following hq instruction not to pm eb because in the past there were sales that were members only or items were used. Apparently HQ has now given the okay...I dont know how they can lie like that.

I didn't even get into what went on in that store last year with the elaborate story on how the gm had jsut changed the policy...and the manager called me back having not been in the store claiming to not know what they were talking about. Or the fact I pmed the last eb flyer there no problem.

Wonder if all the eb flyer stuff just got pulled from the shelf.

Hmm, that's odd, I managed to PM Aerosmith and ACDC no problem at my local Best Buy. I'm acquaintances with the guy who PM'd for me, so I got the two for $5.99 each, as opposed to $6.99. No complaints here!

So Super Paper Mario will ring in as $39.99, yeah? PLUS an EDGE discount? I've regretted trading that game in (though I think I got like, $33 so I'm not too upset) and now may be a good time to pick it up! Going to EB tonight to see what looks good!

Just in case you still haven't found out about the deal this is from EB's website:

2 for $20 - Buy any 2 used games, price range from $9.99 - $14.99, for $20.00
This offer is valid from 5 April to 2 May, 2009. See store associate for full details.
2 for $30 - Buy any 2 used games, price range from $15.00 - $19.99 for $30.00
This offer is valid from 5 April to 2 May, 2009. See store associate for full details.
2 for $40 - Buy any 2 used games, price range from $20.00 - $24.99 for $40.00
This offer is valid from 5 April to 2 May, 2009. See store associate for full details.

So do ALL used games apply to the above? Or do they have select titles that qualify for each price range...it says "any", but the "see store associate for more details" part makes me wonder...this could be my chance to pick up some Gamecube games.

Not sure how credible this info is, but I spoke with an employee at my regular EB who I am familiar with and is usually pretty credible, and he believes for this GameDays sale the price drops will be weekly, as opposed to daily. One reason he cited was to help the employees themselves out, as last year it was very difficult to do massive price changes every day, especially busy mall locations. This could explain why there have been no new drops so far.

Again, not sure how true this is, but passing it along nonetheless.

According to the employee at my local EB (Shopper's World Brampton), it's only what is in the bin. Sucks, because I found copies of MGS: PO and Frequency for $14.99 but Frequency was not in the bargain bin :(

There's no reason for it to be more than the 360's version so probably $10. Which is really what it's worth.

I agree that the Ps3 version is not worth more then $10 but when I went to my local EB yesterday, the 360 version was $9.86 and the Ps3 version was $29.99.

yeah it was the 360 version but I also saw the PS3 version for $29.99. Any reason why he might have taken the flyer to make a phone call???
