According to the employee at my local EB (Shopper's World Brampton), it's only what is in the bin. Sucks, because I found copies of MGS: PO and Frequency for $14.99 but Frequency was not in the bargain bin :(

I got games off the shelf at 2/$40, so I assume you can for 2/$30 and 2/$20

Another little mentioned deal, if you are looking for some PS2/XBOX games.

"2 for $8.00 - Buy any 2 used games, price range from $4.99 - $7.99, for $8.00.
This offer is valid from 5 April to 2 May, 2009. See store associate for full details."

So basically $7.99 Used games should be B1G1. Could be why the used copies of Too Human, Facebreaker, etc. All are at $8.99 which falls in between the 2/$8 and 2/$20 ranges

I agree that the Ps3 version is not worth more then $10 but when I went to my local EB yesterday, the 360 version was $9.86 and the Ps3 version was $29.99.

That's incredible. You should have attempted to reason with the staff. I doubt they can still try to justify it with "but it's on a blu-ray disc".

EB just sucks like that sometimes.

Didn't hear anything about Stranglehold. If you haven't played it, it's really, really enjoyable and fun. Best rental ever.

Damnit. The guy lied :( I'm kinda tempted to go back and try to get it with my Portable Ops...

There's no reason for it to be more than the 360's version so probably $10. Which is really what it's worth.

Actually there is a reason. The PS3 version is the complete, refined, and best release. It also isn't Alone In The Dark, but Alone In The Dark:Inferno, it features exclusive levels, better controls, less glitches, and overall a much better experience then the 360, PC, Wii, and PS2 counterparts ( I know because I own the 360, Wii, and PS2 ones along with the PS3 version). But there is a even better reason then that, PS3 version was released in November, where as the other ones came out in June.

... I know because I own the 360, Wii, and PS2 ones along with the PS3 version ... Why on earth would you buy each console's version of the same game? :-s

I got the 360, and PS2 ones dirt cheap. Got the Wii one half price coupled with a giftcard. The only one I paid more then $10 for was the PS3 version. It also helps that the PS2 and Wii versions are pretty different from the 360 one, and even further away from the PS3 version.

Oh. You're talking about Alone in the Dark: Still Sucks for the PS3. You mean the version "that brought some fresh ideas to the table but still ended up being hampered by glitches."

If anything, it should be cheaper than the Xbox 360's version because the poor gamers have to put up with a lot more crap.

Well I guess it's sold out everywhere in Canada but it doesn't hurt to ask. No store in the province of Quebec seem to be carrying Rock Band AC/DC so I can't buy it in EBGames and I can't price match it elsewhere. If anyone has a brand new copy (I wanna export the songs to RB2) for sale on XBOX360, let me know with your price.

Thanks!

I will help clarify some details for you guys.

any used game that is 10-14.99 will work for 2/20
any used game that is 15-19.99 will work 2/30
ETC. it does not apply to JUST the games in the bins. if its priced at that you get it on that deal. there are a lot of great games at 14.99

Also remember that all used accessories are 25% off.

None of the used deals either 2/20 or 2/30 or 2/40 or the 5$ off games of the week will be able to use the edge card on top of them. There was a email directed specific on this issue. you get either the promotion deal or your edge card discount NOT BOTH. If there is a store giving you both discounts then they will have a lot of explaining to do to lost prevention team

^He had a stack in the back room too.....

And they were talking shit about other employees...

The dude that walked from his first shift...

the woman who did the secret shopping...

When I was there two days ago Bioshock was the same; then again I didn't really know the original price before the sale. The only difference that I did notice was the game was in one of the "Buy 2 for $40.00" bins.

I mentioned it earlier, but if someone buys the package of GH:A and a guitar, and trades in GH:A (with the "Not for Resale" label) then EB must sell it as used; I bought a couple sealed copies of GH3 last year for $4.99 because they were "used"

Huh, I don't know if it was here that I read it or it was my own personal experience, but (I thought) most EBs will make you open the game to ensure that there actually is a disc inside and you didn't shrinkwrap it yourself.

Erm, some EBs have sealed copies of used games (i.e they don't want tons of display boxes out front so they shrink wrap used games with the disc inside and leave it in the back 'cause it's easier that way), he might've gotten that one.

All EBs open games when they're traded in.

Attention all CAGs:

The Game Days are not stackable anymore with the EDGE card. Email got sent out this morning. Those of you who're still getting it you're lucky =\.

They sold *piles* of 360 legends of rock , sealed "not for resale" as new games last year.

Ranzo

Areosmith is 5$ NEW
GH3 legends of rock. most say not for resale on the back after you take off the first shirnkwrap of the french. mass print one is cheaper then two covers.
and NO not all EBs gut all used product. infact EBs get a lot of used product sealed from head office.
also that edge card email was a couple of days ago.

Trade 3 promo... i think most stores just wing it. I general allow anything that is on the coming soon list.

Yes, that's the price for a new copy (used is $8.xx).

The game seems to be love it or hate it. If you've ever played games like Phantasy Star Online or Diablo, and enjoyed the dungeon crawling/loot hunting aspects of those titles, I'd say give it a try.

It will take a while before you stop trying to control the camera with your right analog stick though.

It's a pretty good game. Last summer, I did a T3G1F for it because I already had every other game coming out that I wanted. Still have it because I'm hoping to get 1000 in it...fucking game has the equivalent of collecting a full artifact set in WoW as an achievement...so I've been benching it in hopes I can eventually convince somebody to just let me borrow their's :)

the eb on walker road in windsor still had a couple copies of too human they were all sold out of mass effect, had a couple of ac/dc left. They also had a new copy of nanostray 2 for $14.xx (dont know if that's a deal or not last time i seen it was $19.99) and apparently 360 hard drives do not count as part of the 25% used accessories sale as it was still $50 for a used 20gig drive

The way the sign is worded on the bin people don't realize its all games for the 2@$X. So I found a FF tactics and burnout paradise that werent there last time on the shelf.

I frequent three or four stores that are in the normal rounds I do here... I think a lot of places have brutally dropped the ball on this sale... tons of price changes unmade (particularly on used) and just general disarray.

Two of the locations have been doing fine... the other two, no.

Not really sure what value "which stores" would add to the post, TBH.

The point of the post is merely to express disappointment with the sale at the store level, commenting on dtp11's post about the fact that a lot of stores have stuff like Lost Planet (which AFAIK is still on sale) still marked at pre-sale prices and used copies of the sale games marked higher than the new prices.

Ok cool, I was just curious as to which specific stores were 'good' or 'bad' in your opinion, since yeah, some stores have good diligence + service, others sometimes don't have a clue that a sale is even on, or any details... I just thought you'd wanna call out certain EBs ;) Personally I don't like the Eaton Ctr. EB that much, but the Yonge/Eg EB has good service imo.

Dual Hearts - 6.99$ or 2/7.99$

Anyhow, decent price for this game.

And to make it clear, the 2/20$, 2/30$ 2/40$ is on SELECT used titles only (as stated in the flyer). I know it's not written explicility on the website but it is in the flyer.

So it applies to bargain bin only.

I'm still confused on the whole "2 for x" deals. One place I went to said it only goes up to 2 for $30 (I asked about two used $34.99 games that I was interested in, thinking I could get them both for $40 but I was told they didn't qualify. Is $29.99 the limit or something?), so uh....yeah. I didn't even think to look at the flyer while there, but when I got home it does say 2 for $40....right guys? But maybe I just don't understand how this deal works. lol.

But she did say any used game, not just the ones in the bins.

I haven't seen Dual Hearts in ages, I'd happily Paypal somebody $10 (or whatever is reasonable, if you're not 2/$7.99'ing it) :) Assuming it's complete and not thrashed, if anybody sees it...

15.00-19.99 are 2/30
20.00-24.99 are 2/40

Any games outside of that range do not count. I explicitly asked about buying a game for 29.99 and a game for 24.99 and no go. At the other store I asked about a 34.99 game (Chrono Trigger, I almost bought it anyway) and a 24.99 game and it didn't count.

It looks like its only the bin with the SELECT signs, but it will work with anything when they total it and you have 2 games in the same price range. The staff dont even seem to know what the deal is.

they've lowered the price of a lot of past gen suff. Especailly whats left of xbox, but also some gc and ps2.

Might be some finds on the shelf with most people not realizing what the deal is. When I bought two they first gave me the full totoal, so i geve my edge card...tried that and said it didnt work but read the new total 2 for $20

Nah, I'm not in the business of calling out ;)

Also, I'm not in TO or Van, so I was thinking about the wider audience here :P

Gonna re-check some used games tomorrow... I'm so not into the sale... haven't bought anything, but I'm sure I could find a few games that would be worth getting at 2/$20-30-40.

i kinda got bummed out that the deals suck... and the price labels dont change so how do you know if something is changed... im not in the mode to constantly ask or make those lazy people grudgingly do work lol or even if you ask they just tell you yeah go look at the price tag on the shelf that they dont update...

First one? I haven't seen a copy around though.

The 2 for X is so screwed up. I've tried doing it twice with games that were $14.99 and it didn't work either time. Luckily the staff was nice enough to do the 2 for $20 anyways. They mentioned how stupid it was as they didn't know what titles qualified either.

looks like my local EB is going by the book.
Not sure if any CAG-ers can confirm. Apparently the 2/$xx deals at my eb are only for old gen consoles.

9.99-14.99 are 2/20 list of 10 360 games including Avatar?
15.00-19.99 are 2/30 list of 10 PS3 games
20.00-24.99 are 2/40 list of 10 Wii games including Spiderwick and Ninja Reflex

pretty cold deal... maybe i'll try a different EB. But they showed me the official printout that they had instructing them to sell those games only.

Up until today (April 11th) the 2 for $8, $20, $30, $40 deals were for ANY used games from ANY system located anywhere in the store NOT only in the bins.

2 for 8 is 3.99 to 7.99.
2 for 20 is 9.99 to 14.99
2 for 30 is 15.99 to 19.99
2 for 40 is 20.99 to 24.99

That means you could have combined any used 14.99 from anywhere in the store to get a 2 for 20.

The computer did the changes automatically.

As of today, the deal has changed. It still works on GBA, XB, GC, PS2 & PC. It no longer works on DS and PSP used titles at all. As for next gen there are 8 titles from each next gen system (8 wii, 8 ps3, 8 360) that work for a specific "2 for" deal. The games will change.

The list for this week (April 11 to April 18) is:

2 for 40
Boogie Wii
Bee Movie Wii
Ninja Reflex Wii
Spiderwick Wii
Spiderman Friend or Foe Wii
Madden 08 Wii
Super Swing Gold Wii
SSX Blur Wii

2 for 30
MLB 07 PS3
Hellboy PS3
Tiger Woods 07 PS3
WWE 2008 PS3
NBA 08 The Life PS3
Nascar 08 PS3
Fifa 08 PS3
Soldier of Fortune PS3

2 for 20
Avatar 360
Forza 2 360
Lego Indiana Jones 360
Outfit 360
Shadowrun 360
Spiderman 3 Movie 360
Kameo 360
Darkness 360

There is no YMMV because the computer does the deal automatically, so every EB will have the same results unless the employees manually change the price, and that's a no no. But it's not just the games in the bins, as some stores have way more games than bin space.

As for the used accessories it may state on select used accessories but so far it works for ALL used accessories used HDDs included.

The $5 off select used titles for the week of April 12 to 18 are:

PS3
Socom
Guitar Hero 3
Call of Duty 3
Motorstorm
Star Wars Force Unleashed

360
Star Wars Force Unleashed
Gears of War
Prince of Persia
Devil May Cry 4
Madden 09

Wii
Metroid Prime 3
Call of Duty 3

Guitar Hero 4 WT

Ah well thanks for confirming. I was rather confused when my local EB said today that there was some sort of "list" they had to follow. With no signs of games going for 9.89 i guess my only good pick from this year's sale was Mirror's Edge for 19.99

I was in there today and the manager asked another staffer why the 14.99 didnt automatically coming up 2 for $20. Staffer said that was happening with all of them today. they were just manually changing them. Eb stores never seem to have a clue with their own promotions. All kinds of titles not on that list in the bins (nothing good).

Please observe the title above...

I expect things here will be rocky for a while. We've seen a recent (and MASSIVE) influx of RFD hoarder types on this board in the past few months. If you're not a "long-standing member" unfortunately you're viewed with a suspicious eye.

This is a forum for game enthusiasts who want to stretch their gaming dollar as far as it will go--not jackasses who want to use cheap games as a means to turn a quick profit at the expense of everyone else on this board. Unfortunately we've seen a lot of the later as of late.

CAG (CANADA) used to be semi-secret, and the adjustment to being high-profile will take some time.

Don't let it get to you, contribute to the boards in a positive fashion and eventually people will begin to trust you're not here to screw us all over. Give it time, and let perceived slights roll off your back.

Now, back on topic--Edmonton Southgate EB has sold out of GH Aerosmith Xbox360 as of yesterday--still had a few PS3 copies. Forgive me if I've already posted that in the open forums...

I am fairly new here and really havent had a great deal to contribute up to this point, but if the rude slights and elitist attitude of some of the "old timers" continues I wont be around long enough to become one of the good old boys.

I think I understand the resistance to the "hoarders", but come on. I came to CAG because of Cheapy and Wombat. I love the CAG cast and I thought any community that they were part had to be pretty great. I am not ready to write the whole group off, but with some people segregating themselves off and excluding anyone who hasnt been here "long enough" I am getting a sour taste in my mouth.

As I said, I havent been here that long, so maybe my opinion doesnt count, maybe I am wasting keystrokes. If so then this is one community I have no desire to be part of. Any way thanks to all who have been welcoming.

Guys, I just have to say. If you wanna elevate yourself beyond being a newbie you NEED to get yourself a avatar. You're just faceless nobodies without one...

I keep telling myself that just one or two good deals will make it all worthwhile... but just haven't seen anything worth buying at my local EB Games so far. (Of course, signage and employee knowledge has been poor enough that it's possible to miss stuff.)

I've gotten 2 deals I guess. Okami when it was $13 used, and I PMed Too Human at BestBuy to get it for $8 (I just didn't think it was worth $10 ). While there were more deals last year, I didn't find much to buy then. Last year most everything good soldout before I could get too it. So this year isn't that bad in comparison IMO.

hmm I'm not sure if this will be the same for everyone.

Yesterday I went and bought a used plastic Link Crossbow for wii and a used GH Guitar and got 25% for both ??? maybe the wireless guitar counted but I definitely wasnt expecting the crossbow to be!

Don't take the last 2 weeks as an example of what usually goes on at this site. There's a lot of new people here and it takes a few weeks for the new people to figure out how things work and the older people to acclimatize to the new people. Could politeness could be improved? Of course. We do have our hotheads who will bow up at you before thinking for a very minor thing, please just forgive them and move along. I can assure you they are getting better as time progresses and not as spirited as they once were. But understand some of the users are frustrated by the amount of people who've been registered for a while or and haven't bothered to say thank you to the deals they've been picking up. The closed group brought out a surprising amount of people. We've been trying to grow this community hoping to get a Moderator and Cheapy D to give us a bigger forum. We are grateful to have the bigger forum but could still use a Moderator to keep the rudeness down to a minimum or even just to have some one to move/delete threads.

Don't take the separate Canadian CAG group as an insult to new people. There's been a large problem for years of small deals that we've been trying to figure out how to post it to just the community members. Stuff that's only at one store, YMMV or very limited to 1 copy per store.

It's not hard to contribute. If you use a deal say Thank You, Op or a quick thank you to Lone_Prodigy for posting the flyers, FarmhouseMedia for the Amazon listing or someone who posts deals a lot like Firestorm. Also post deals or questions in the question and answer thread or Discussion forums. We've had everything posted from Go Vote Today to is this a good TV. We honestly like to be a community that's welcoming and helpful to each other.

We are, just not you guys.

And I'm checking price changes every single day, and nada so far.I'll try to keep you guys up to date here in the common folk forum, but there haven't really been any deals worth noting.

The whole private group thing is definitely a kick to the groin. So, because I just check on deals once in a while and don't bother/have time to sign in and post, you're just going to exclude me from certain deals? I don't buy a lot of stuff based on the deals anyway because there are very rarely any HOT deals on stuff that I'm interested in, but it's still ridiculous to segregate the "community" like this. If people are going to hoarde they're going to hoarde, this isn't stopping them only making life harder for honest people who just happen to not post very often. It's like Spore and its anti-piracy: the pirates will still find a way to pirate, but the people who just want to play the game normally get screwed.

Why would you or anyone else expect those of us who find the deals and go to the great *hardship* of not only logging in but to post should share them with the hoards of lurkers? What kind of member of a community are you if you are just here to read what 20 or so people are posting? Why would you expect those who post would care what people who don't think about it?

If I happen to find something of interest i'd just assume give someone who might post something I can take adavantage of a chance to get it over those who *can't be bothered to log in*

I was able to drop by EB for a few minutes only to discover that Mercs 2 (PS3) and Overlord: Raising Hell (PS3) were both incompatible to be mixed (at 14.99 and 24.99 respectively). Anyone see any decent games that fall under the 10-14.99 category for the PS3? I didn't have enough time to check others...

Are all games (within the price ranges) still eligible for the "2 for X" deals? I didn't think they were.

I talked to my local EB and the lady seemed to indicate that it only applied to Last-Gen games. Isn't that what Zorba pretty much said (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5741782&postcount=580) a few days ago also?

Good point. Okami doesn't much matter to me because I already own a copy... but $13 used sounds like a sweet deal otherwise! Finding deals really is all relative to what games (and systems) you want/have.

I get your point on the "If you dont contribute, why would we care what you think..." line of reasoning. In fact that very arguement kept me from saying anything for a while now.

Let me flip it around, if you exclude and attack new people/infrequent contributors what are the chances that these people will ever become contributing members? How will your community grow? What would happen to the group of 100 if some new people started to out contribute them? Expand the group or kick out current members? I am obviously making a bigger deal of this than it really warrants but elitist groups get my goat, what can I say?

Lets take this back to its base. This website exists to keep our bald headed benefactor rolling in green so he can be kept in a custom befitting an internet space pimp. More clicks = more money. Take a look at any popular thread. At the time of writing this thread has 631 replies and 33,301 views. Great news for Cheapy and his family, but wow some people are really not contributing, oh no!!!

As an aside, next time anyone reading this wants to start a small exclusive group, just make it private and keep it that way by not rubbing all the commoners noses in it. Just so I am clear I dont have anything against the people in the group, I am sure most of you are great and I would bet some of you have even helped me in understanding all this, but some have been rude which is not helping the community, Cheapy or themselves.

It might be YMMV, but the EBs in the Niagara Region seem to be doing it for any system.

I picked up 2 PSP games yesterday (Metal Gear Acid 2 for $9.99 and Final Fantasy Tactics for $14.99) and the cashier had to override it.

So maybe some employees/stores aren't doing it because it's not coming up in the system, so you could request an override or have them check.

Some game deals I saw were Lego Indiana Jones (360) for $14.99 and Fracture (PS3/360) for $13.99.

So even though I hardly ever actually USE the deals, I just check in to see if there's anything good, I should still post constantly to say that I checked the forum but wasn't interested? I'm just curious as to why I would do that....If I DID post that, I'd get the sarcastic response "oh thanks for sharing".

I don't post deals because I don't look for deals. You know where I look for deals? HERE! The only deals I ever see are ones that are already posted, and heaven forbid somebody should post a deal that's already posted because then without fail somebody reams into them. No thanks.

Let's be clear here. I never log in and post because I never actually use the deals. I browse to see if anything catches my eye and then move on. If I were to find something worthwhile, then I would post thanking whoever put up the deal. So to exclude me from future deals that I might actually be interested in (and use, and post) because I didn't post about deals in the past that I didn't use.....that doesn't make any sense. I'll try to post some EB deals if I see any, but usually they're up already (except it seems that some are being posted only in the private group, which is what prompted me to offer to post them here in the first place).

EDIT: I just wanted to add that I WILL be starting to post even if it doesn't really contribute anything. And just regarding your example of seeding and downloading. In this case I wouldn't be seeding because I haven't downloaded anything. If I haven't downloaded anything why would I be seeding? Should I just be seeding random things in case I someday have to download something?

Just wanted to say that this post is what pushed me into finally getting an account and posting. I'm not an "RFD Asshat." I'm a guy who likes to save money on a few games. I saw the EB Games Flyer last week, and this thread came up when I googled it. I've checked every few days to see if there's anything that tickles my fancy.

I did manage to snag Mass Effect for 10 bucks and UT3 for 360 for... I think it's 15 or 17 bucks (I forget). There was nothing new in terms of sales for me to contribute, so I didn't. Personally, I don't care to post something if it's just a "me too." I hate being that "me too" guy.

It's sad to see that some folks like to take advantage of places like these for their own ends when it seems like everyone else on here just wants to play games and have fun.

Me too.

I've been a member of this site for like 4 years but rarely post, why? Not because I am lurker, but because I don't play that many games. When I do take advantage of a deal,or hear of something, I will post thanking, giving info about my local store, etc. I don't see a need to post for the sake of posting if something doesn't interest me. But apparently one must most around here for the sake of it, so be it I guess.

I know of the "EB - it's that time of the year" so I came to check almost daily.

Friendly suggestion: the bickering and discussion about exclusionary action doesn't benefit anyone and makes most people involved look bad, so why don't we talk about games and game deals here and leave that type of discussion for elsewhere?

I assume those are loose carts, and if so, the prices are kind of cold. Be careful of bootlegs as well.

If you haven't bought them already I recommend Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, Drill Dozer usually cheap at EB (I cry a little inside seeing kids buying crap and it sitting in a bargain bin for $5), and Yoshi's Island, DR Mario/Puzzle league on one cart.

I know how much fun it is hunting down these old GBA carts. I spent I thing 5 years buying most of the ones I want. I have to still make a trip to the US to get some cheap ones. Garage sales should be starting soon it's a great way to get some cheap GBA games. This Wiki (http://wiki.cheapassgamer.com/index.php/Yard_sale_guide) should be posteed on the frount page this time of year :) I learned a lot from it.

About bootlegged carts Nintendo has a really well made site (http://ap.nintendo.com/) on this with photo's so you can learn how to distinguish the fakes from the real ones. The PDF trainning manual in the How to detect will give you more info then you need...
Interesting it has a report Piracy section too.

As RPG's go, Golden Sun doesn't break any new ground, but considering the amount of gameplay in such a portable package it's great. However, once you figure out a certain way to battle every enemy becomes beatable. I go through the Battle Arena without breaking a sweat.

I'm constantly playing the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance which I picked up at The Source for $5 :D
I also have Metroid Prime Zero Mission which I'm stuck on, and Super Mario Advance was fun (and sort of easy). I can recommend that you avoid Tony Hawk's Underground 2. I paid 96 cents at TSCC, and I still feel ripped off

You should scour all your local TSCC, that's where I am seeing a lot of brand new clearance stuff for GBA right now.

Nice find on Minish Cap. I only managed to play that game late last year, and was delighted to find out how good it was.

Other GBA Games worth checking out?

1. Metroid: Zero Mission is a must have - it's better than Fusion in my opinion, and a great remake all around.
2. Astroboy: Omega Factor is great, especially if you like hectic action games made by Treasure.
3. Capcom Classic Mini Mix is really cool if you like retro, but seems to be pretty rare. I've only ever seen it once at EB Games.
4. Chu Chu Rocket! was probably the best launch game, and a superb puzzle title for the GBA. If you ever try multiplayer, then you need this.
5. Oh yeah, and if you ever see a copy of Ninja Five-O then grab it. A great action title with cool swinging action, even if the game is a bit short.

I know there are more good GBA titles, but these are the ones that come to mind as being really good (and often overlooked). If you don't already have them, keep your eyes open!

I find games at garage sales every so often if it's parent selling kids stuff you can usually get the stuff pretty cheap. You'll end up buying a lot of package deals with some kids games and the regular GBA's.

The Golden Sun games and Astro Boy is pretty cheap in the US I think around $5.

The best reviews I've found for GBA games are on the IGN site from Craig Harris. Here's a top 25 list (http://gameboy.ign.com/articles/772/772284p1.html)

The two EB stores in Richmond Hill (major mac, elgin mills) have a ton of cart-only GBA games. The prices are ridiculous though. I also noticed they charge the same price for box or cart-only. I'm not sure who they are hoping to jack with the $40 price tag for Super Mario Bros 3, but good luck to them.

I've always wondered about that. The only thing I can figure is, due to the DS's GBA slot, they treat them as "current generation" games, and will never lower the price. It's the same reason Gamecube games are still stupdiculously expensive-- even though I've seen 40+ copies of each Mario Party in a single store.

The Lite gets very uncomfortable for me when trying to play GBA games. The extra weight is the main factor, the control is the other. The Micro is comfortable and ultra light. The GBASP seems about the same, except with a lid that adds extra weight when laying on your back in bed.

Wow that was cheap :-o Where'd you get it at that price?
I paid $90 about two years ago for a used one off eBay. It came with an Intec case with peripherals and some GameBoy games. I actually picked it up to use with Gameboy games (I <3 Gameboy), then tried some GBA carts and was pretty impressed.
I still wish I could find some decent Gameboy games, they were simple but fun. I like the quaint monochrome colours of the original carts, brings back memories. One of the main reasons I never bothered with the DS is the fact that it killed Gameboy games!

Buu's Fury was from TSCC, right? I think I've seen it (or maybe one of those other titles) at Vaughan Mills for $5.

I dunno the only GBA games I've seen at TSCC were Madden 04 or something... I've had those games since their launch.

The first Legacy Of Goku game is instantly forgetable, and somewhat broken. The second one is much better. Atari packaged both together on one cartridge 2 or 3 years ago. LoG are action RPGs. Buu's Furry is the third Legacy Of Goku game. It is Legacy Of Goku perfected. But since it follows a storyline starting off with number 3 isn't the greatest idea. It was repackaged with DragonBall GT: Transformation as well. Transformation is a sidescrolling beat 'em up, that is sadly forgettable. A sequel was planned, but got canned.

Advanced Adventure is a platforming action game. It's going to be the hard one to find since it was never repackaged. It is a fantastic unappreciated gem though.

DBZ: Supersonic Warriors is a good fighting game aswell. A tad forgettable, but not because it is bad.

Skip out on DragonBall Z: Taiketsu though, that isn't a good game. It's what you get when an Action RPG developer decides to make a fighting game.

You can also skip out on DragonBall Z: The Collectible Card Game. Because no one likes those.

lol... I was going to recommend Mega Man & Bass until you mentioned "nice to newcomers". A great game, but the difficulty level was rock hard with old school controls.

You are probably better off looking for Mega Man Zero instead... it's still a hard game, but not as frustrating.

One note: the Mega Man Battle Network series is very different from "normal" Mega Man games. I haven't played them very much, because they are more like RPGs than action/platformer games. This isn't necessarily good or bad - just different.

You are probably better off looking for Mega Man Zero instead... it's still a hard game, but not as frustrating.

One note: the Mega Man Battle Network series is very different from "normal" Mega Man games. I haven't played them very much, because they are more like RPGs than action/platformer games. This isn't necessarily good or bad - just different.

hmm... yea i hate hard games, (its okey when its fun) but when its hard, its not fun.

ill try out the Zero series and Battle Network, and try others if i like it or not :)

thanks for your inputs guys, recently got into Metroid, which was hell-of a funn, so im looking for platforming/side scrolling?/action games. and megaman poped into my head.

i thought Metroid fusion was kinda difficult ;P

Yeah Battle Network games are cool, but fuck the story gets ridiculous after the fifth godamned game.

Get Metroid Zero Mission, awesome.

I forgot this sale was even on. What happened EB? You used to be cool man :(

Actually, there have been great deals all week, they've just been obscured by GBA chatter.

Just kidding obviously, but is it just me or is this the most OT topic ever? I'm not usually fazed by that sort of stuff, but a new thread for that stuff maybe, guys?

Mario Golf GC is now $9.99 I traded it in a while ago and my kids complain every time they see it in a store. I'm pretty sure it's my own mint copy I traded in too :P I also bought Dark Sector PS3.

Nice. I saw it the other day for I think $19.99 but already had 3 games ready to purchase. I've all but mastered the N64 version via VC. Only thing I haven't done is 6 of the 36 ring shot holes!

Everyone did; that's why ZX sucked.

ZXA didn't suck as much, but it was nowhere near touching any of the classic, X or Zero games (save X7, which sucked on a whole new stratosphere).

And no, neither of the ZX games are 'hopelessly' hard; they're both perfectly manageable if you stop and learn boss patterns as how the games were since 1987.

You should have been shopping around for it last year(?). It was on clearance at a bunch of places for $20 new. You need to jump on out of print RPGs when they reach around that price, or else you'll never get them.

I was at EB Games and I found some great deals, but they won't on video games. They were Blu-Ray Movies on sale. The guy told me they were clearing them out so a lot of them were on sale.

Selection varies per store but most of them were under $10:

Tears of the Sun $9.89

Hostel $9.89

Spider-man 3- $9.89

Underworld- $4.89 (picked this up)

Click- $9.89

And some other movies that I cant remember.

All of these Blu-Rays are new, not used.

It really depends which EB Games you go to. Some EB Games only have a couple Blu-Rays while other have tons of Blu-Rays. The most Blu-Rays I have ever seen at one EB Games is 15 different titles.

They all did up until last year when they discontinued carrying them, but they were priced at $34.99-39.99 so nobody bought them and they never dropped the price on them until now I guess, they should all be gutted copies though.
