Has anyone ever seen this before, apparently it plays SNES andN64 games and hooks right to your tv and can fit a standard flash card.

Yeah, seen it before. It began as a way for Nintendo to develop a game market in China. I have no clue as to whether they intend to release it state-side.

It was only market in China and some other parts of Asia along with a software distribution scheme that was hoped to get around the omnipresent piracy of those regions. Basically they were marketing antique (by our standards) games on encrypted flash memory cards at very low prices compared to their original releases in the 'First World' nations.

An interesting collector's item perhaps.

The only way it will ever appear in the US other than as a import is in the form of one of those integrated TV game thingies. The hardware is still much too expensive for that market and Nintendo has better ways of reviving old hits.

$90 isnt too expensive and being able to use your own flash cards seems wicked.

Thats also probably just expensive cause its an import site too. I might pick one of these up when I go to Hong Kong this winter, depending on how cheap it is and how many games I can get for it.

Compared to a GameCube and millions of used SNES and N64 systems floating around? When items like the Pac-man stick with five games built-in are $17 at Wal-mart? This thing would need to be under $50 with several games built-in to be a viable nostalgia market item. Even at that price I'd be leery since after the onboard controls are worn out it's useless.

Nintendo already has an outlet for SNES stuff on the GBA and will soon have one for reviving N64 games on the DS. Why would they bother with this? If the cost made it viable for someone to bundle on third party games and sell the combination for $50 or less, that might have possibilites. Say, for instance, a Capcom Greatest Hits package. Not going to happen any time soon.

With a flash card u could put whatever games on it you want too. thats why i want to pick it up. the only problem i saw is that it takes a 220V power adapter so, it will need a converter.

Perhaps you missed the part about 'encrypted.' If it was just a matter is downloading files to flash you could just buy a N64 and a cartridge slot adater. Plus you'd never need to worry about wearing out the control surfaces.

If you live in a country where Nintendo products are marketed normally the I-que is a novelty and nothing more.

Yeah, it was an idea that Nintendo didn't really run with. They only made 12 games total for the thing (none of them original). It would be nice if you could put whatever games you want unto the cart, but I don't know of any site that offers cards that are useable in the controller.

We might see something simular to it someday. Several companies are releasing joysticks with games pluged into them that you hook up to your tv. Its a really great idea, and I hope that someday when small enough technology is afforable that Nintendo will release an N64 controller simular to those joysticks, with games on flash cards.

Not to spite the mothercountry but its a poormans N64. Its like those plug and play games that have pac man on them except the item plays games that were loaded on the card. It is an intersting idea to put games on reqritable media, but that would absolutly kill the VG industry, plus Nintendo already tried it and there was more pirating going on than Disney's "Pirates of the Carribean" ride.
