Your only chance of message board sanity there is if you ask a question about a game that is not totally dead but not that popular anymore. But the GTA boards, Halo boards, anything Final Fantasy, anything about a current sports game, forget it.

Gamefaqs is down half the time for me, so I use neoseeker sometimes, but they usually have few faqs compared to gamefaqs.

Cmon its good for a laugh. The GTA:San Andreas board was HILARIOUS a while back - I have never seen that many ignorant people gathered in one place (Actually I take that last comment back, this year's Republican National Convention has to win the ignorance prize)

i use cheatcc.com (with a pop-up blocker of course!) and gamespot.com for faqs and guides. gamespot usually has faqs courtisy of gamefaqs.com

Yaeh I think everyone basically already know they suck. That's Why were all here! :D The only reason I go there is just to check out there FAQs or on particularily older titles, the boards. Also on someboards where a person posts that he will answer any questions of________ game are quite good as in most of those people will not be stupid, flame, or just be jerks. Though they get updated news there from gamespot.com, I have started to go tio themagicbox.com for my game news or ign.com. Only problem with ign. is there are way to many pop-ups and ads.

I am doing fairly well in the gamefaqs tourney though. Sure at 60 points I have no chances of winning now, but still, I'll keep my usual top 5% finish.

GameFAQs should charge a one-time fee of like $5 or something to post on their boards. If you're a jackass you get banned and have to pay $5 again. It would be good because it would get rid of ads and jerks at the same time.

thats true, as i got older i found gamefaqs too be more and more annoying so now I just go here, CAG is so much better, nicer, funnier and just generally better people come here (shout out too all my CAGS) I hope this site remains this way.

Which boards in particular were you posting on? I'm not asking to defend them, I'm just curious. I go there a lot and the crappiness really seems to vary from board to board.

I used to love Gamefaqs like 3 years ago because back then I liked to argue/debate and troll on every board about how awesome SHAQ-FU was. The mods don't like me apparently because everytime I fucking argue with someone on the PS2 board I'm always put on suspension.

I don't really like the Gamefaqs boards just because they're a PITA to read. I need 'View new posts''. [it is possible I'm missing something.] There haven't been too many lusers or ke3l doods on the few game-related boards I've read, but they do show up.
And I do still stick with them for the faqs.

I remember getting modded once for posting the definition of a run-on sentence on the Dreamcast system board. Some guy was asking for technical help on his broken DC - he described the problem in no less than 500 words with no punctuation.

I couldn't resist and I got whacked for it. No karma loss though.
