Sounds like he is improving, but at his age I'm sure his former lifestyle has caught up to him.
Caddyshack, Easy Money and Back to School were great comedies.

His role in Natural Born Killers was great too.

I hope that he gets well. Unfortunately, he hasn't looked too well in recent years. Rather frail at times. However, if he does go, we should realize that we were very fortunate to have been able to enjoy him for so long.
There have been so many great entertainers taken way too young...

Haha! I watched Ladybugs on cable one time and thought it wasn't that bad! Man, I guess I was really bored
I just noticed that he can't get no respect in the topic title either. "Dengerfield?"

it was on the news i think a week or two ago. I think they said something about his family giving him to the end of this month before they decide to let him on the machines or pull the plug

its weird cause I heard, a couple comedians visited him in the hospital and talked to him after his surgery.....something is rotten in the State of Denmark

Me too. I also didn't find out about Rick James until yesterday.
I hope Rodney gets through. If not, I'll watch Caddyshack in his remembrance.

No trying to be mean but at his age I am not surpised of the coma even with the most trained Dr. that surgery had to be a shock to his body.

Too bad. i would argue that Rodney is one of the greatest comedians that ever lived. I have 2 of his standup cds. Good stuff.
