So what's the deal with this right now? Is the DSi sold out right now? Is stock moving fast enough to be sold out within the next week? I heard alot of mixed answers throughout stores being all of their inventory preordered, and stores with a bountiful amount of DSi.

Its available on amazon.com and according to Walmart.com its available in all the stores around me. So no its not sold out. Btw, did you try searching for yourself before you asked this question?

I saw plenty at Toys R Us yesterday, so no. They may be sold out at specialty stores like Gamestop and Gamecrazy though (YOU SHOULD HAVE PREORDERED!!!!!!! they will tell you)

(did this before this thread)called the gamestops around me, and walked in a few, they were all marked with those yellow preorder stickers, and i lurked online and found its selling at a pretty fast rate too. wondering if these things were eventually gonna be sold out too (need to buy one for a birthday). Thanks for answers everyone

Since launch day, my store hasn't sold one, and apparently Target here is stocked full of them. They're not hard to find at all.

Don't go to Gamestop. Target the other day had 20 or so on the shelf.

I was under the impression that they would be sold out, but my local stores all have them in stock. Target, Wal-Mart, Fry's, etc.

Every local retailer near me still has it in stock, some with large quantities.

Neary every retailer except the one who specializes in video games has them in stock. heh.

I wonder, is this because of the economy? Or that Nintendo learned their lesson with the Wii, and delivered ample stock to all stores on launch? Or maybe just that the DSi is not a popular product like the Wii, and demand for it is not so high.

This isn't even close to being sold out. Every EB/Best Buy/Future Shop/Walmart I go into has plenty of both colors.

i think i read somewhere that nintendo of UK stated that they will be able to meet the initial demand for the DSi, up until Christmas comes around the corner.

I dunno about about N of America or Japan.

No here there were plenty. I decided to get one if I could find some cheap games for it. I went to 2 gamestops, target, toys r us, and finally bought it at best buy since it would go towards my reward zone. All of them had them in stock.

my local target still had a few black left. Surprisingly, sold out of blue.

I see them everywhere - Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Meijer.

My target had quite a few of both the black and blue DSi's leftover, along with a huge load of Lites.

Gamestop had none but other retail stores seemed to have quite a couple by me (Target, Toys R Us, Best Buy)

Haven't seen them in any stores near me, but it also appears the stores near me have not made shelf space for them yet, the cabinets were crammed with DS Lites but no DSi's to be found, also no empty space where they should have been either. Maybe the stores are keeping them in the back or behind the counter and you have to ask for them? I seriously doubt they are sold out in my area, but I haven't seen any in the stores. Retail in my area really sucks.

I just returned 2 to Best Buy today. I gave it a try for about 4 days. It is a waste of money to me, and I am not frugal in the slightest.
