My daughter started watching this show a few weeks ago so to make sure it was age-appropriate I watched a bunch of episodes with her.... and for some unexplainable reason I'm really liking it. It's addictive like Saved By The Bell or something... I have mental problems.

I heart icarly. Those characters are so dorky and cute. I also like sponge bob. That is so violent. I see why kids like that show.

The Mrs loves that show, and I will admit I like it too. I keep waiting for the producer dude to finally hook up with the angry blonde chick. And where does the Brother's money come from, as he has NO JOB!

I've seen a few episodes and I think it a decent comedy.
BTW, I still watch Saved By The Bell. It's unexplainably awesome. It's the closest thing to a live-action Archie comic that there is.

Me too! They did share their first kiss but that was it. I thought they secretly liked each other but it seems clear now after watching a bunch of episodes that he has a crush on Carly instead.
I have no idea where their money comes from - what's the deal with their parents?

The characters are appealing, but there's also a lot of witty writing and obscure/random jokes aimed right at adults.
I'm not addicted to it, though I can totally see why you would be.
I am addicted to Making Fiends, though.
I believe the grandfather is filthy rich, I think we saw that in iWant to stay here. I really like the show too.

Carly's Dad is in the Navy on a submarine. I guess he sends money home to support the kids. I have no idea where her Mom is, I don't think it has ever been discussed.

I've seen the show, it's not bad. I love Spencer, he is easily the highlight of the show -- the chick that plays Carly, however, is just not a very good actress.

iCarly is a pretty funny show. It's pretty mental that I have no kids and I'm 24 and my BF is 30 and we really can sit there and watch it.

Yes. Don't you know? Putting an "i" in front of a product name instantly makes it hip.
Now if only Nintendo would rename the Wii "iWii." They'd be on top of the world.

The girl who plays Carly (Miranda Cosgrove, apparently) always struck me as being kinda snooty - idk, maybe it's just the characters she's played in Drake and Josh and iCarly.
Anyway, I far prefer Suite Life (either one) - mostly because Brenda Song is insanely hot!

In Icarley she is a regular teenager. In Drake, and Josh she always gets them in trouble. I remember some of the older ones where the parents always took up for her, and blamed Drake/Josh with everything. That part of the show got old after a while.

My cousin seems to love this show for some reason, and I'm kind of surprised at the number of older people who actually watch this show. I'd have to watch it myself to consider it comparable to Saved By the Bell because that show was classic.

This is not comparable to Saved By the Bell imo. SBTB is 10x better, but it is an enjoyable show to watch.

Want me to blow your mind? iCarly's school is the EXACT same school (set) from Saved By The Bell. The mind blowing part can either be the same set thing, or the fact that I knew that. Your choice, please don't judge me.
I was flipping through the channels and saw the "iGot Detention" episode the other night, and I love the mean teacher that gets knocked out with the football. That guy's hilarious. I looked on Netflix and the first two seasons of iCarly is streamable.
So know I have to explain to my Netflix "friends" why my Netflix profile is always recently watching iCarly in general, and the iGot Detention episode in particular, when I don't have children.
I just tell them my nephews visit a lot.
