Nelson Rodriguez was the host of an very popular Xbox 360 podcast called Achievement Junkies who was hired (and later fired) by Microsoft to work in marketing. He's a very smart and entertaining guy and I'm sure he has a lot of interesting stuff to say about his unique experiences.

Post your questions here!

What was it like growing up a gamer in the Bronx during the 1980's? Cheapy, can you relate to any of Nelson's experiences?

Nelson, are you a true achievement junkie? Do you try to get every achievement in every game?

Also, do you really like Cheapy and Wombat? ;)

How many views did the inside xbox feature get when you were around and did the Xbox Vista upgrade change anything dramatically in the sales of any of the marketplaces i.e. gamer pics, themes, movies, etc?

Why does MS keep the HDD pries so high when people need the hdd to buy dlc? I have had to pass on dlc, both games and add-ons because I have no hdd space. I have also held back on buying games, cause I'd rather install them to hdd, but i don't have the space. It seems counter-intuitive to me. They should be giving away those hdds.

Question:

Can you work your thing and get Inside Xbox US content on the UK version? Over here the UK Inside Xbox is freaking terrible.

Nelson,

Is there any chance of reviving the Achievement Junkie Podcast? Maybe you can form a trio of Natalie, Nelson, and Chris Paladino.

Also what is the new business adventure you have started?

What do you think of Capcom charging $5 DLC for versus multiplayer on Resident Evil 5?
Do you think Capcom should have had it already in the game for free ,and would you buy it just to get a larger gamerscore?

What have you been doing with yourself for the last several months? I have seen some post about a new venture, but no names or description. We miss the AJ podcasts, any chance on bringing them back?

What was the story on his firing from Microsoft?
What projects is he currently working on?
What does he think of the evolution/shifting popularity of the various social networking sites?
What are the current marketing challenges facing the games industry right now?
What does he think about the big media hoopla surrounding the sales (or lack thereof) of GTA Chinatown Wars?

Also, how about a roundtable discussion on the rise of digital distribution and it's effects on gamers and the industry? We have XBLA, PSN, VC, DSi, and PSP2, what might happen in the next generation of consoles/game systems?

Greetings from foggy olde London towne.

What's your opinion on whether the big three console manufacturers actually need to speak directly to the end consumers (i.e gamers) with their own blogs, podcasts, twitter feeds etc?

Do you believe that they are now content to get the message out through their PR agencies, marketing campaigns and big cheeses supplying quotes to corporately held specialist websites?

Is there an inherent risk in community outreach groups such as the former Gamerscoreblog going off-message?

Loved the AJ podcast - it was the first gamer podcast I listened to.

What is your stance on how the dominance of First-Person Shooter games (arguably led by the 360/Xbox Live) has defined this console generation? Do you think the industry as at a stronger stage (both financially and culturally) then during the 16-bit era?
