i just feel like they should add like new stuff like make t-shirts or new faces just add new hats and more. idk maybe we can try to get a thing going that can get big so nintendo would get the idea that people want it and will end up doing it.
what do you think?

No.
It wouldn't be backwards compatible
Nintendo likes money
It doesn't cost money to make new stuff
Nintendo would get more money not developing new things

I hate for agreeing with pacemaker guy, but I agree.
It'll never happen for the reasons Doomed listed, and it's a shame.
The Miis had real potential. I know it's supposed to go for that "simplistic" look that's a super huge big deal these days, but, c'mon..

I thought I read something back when the Wii was new that there were planned upgrades to the Mii channel to include more facial features.
While this still could be done with minimal development since the Mii is basically just a small xml file, it would still take development work and as Doomed pointed out there'd be no point since it would cost Nintendo money but make them no additional profit.

and I agree. Not because Nintendo couldn't do it but because the VERY FIRST thing that would happen. I guarantee you is suddenly everyone would want all the old games to support the new Miis. Nevermind that it doesn't make sense. And the only way to do it would be to use up that precious 512MB of space with patches.
Nintendo should update the Miis but let them cascade gracefully backwards for old games. So if you have a Mii with a new hat and you play Wii Sports he would just show up without the new Hat. That would work. That would be graceful but still the VERY FIRST complaint would be why doesn't my Wii Sports have the new Miis. Ugh sometimes I hate gamers. I want to smack you all (not you specifically) in the face.
It would be the trophies all over again. I mean Sony made them mandatory that's about all we can ask of them. To expect every game to get them in updates and then have them all work retroactively I mean for crying out loud.
