You may want to rent it, but I wouldn't suggest buying it. It was a little creepy, but at the time I watched it I was in an altered state of mind.

It's not worth owning, renting or watching.

I saw the Ring like a week before this. I loved the Ring and I think that ruined my experience with Fear Dot Com. If I would've saw FDC first, I think I would've enjoyed it a lot more. Either way, its a good movie IMO. Its way better than They and Ghost Ship. Its probably on par with Darkness Falls. Horror moves are usually so far in between, you have to like the crappy ones or you won't get your fix.

Hmm...I've never seen They, but if it ranks along with Ghost Ship and lower than Darkness Falls, its prolly a good thing.

I saw FearDotCom long before seeing the Ring, and still thought it sucked.
It was slightly scary, mostly with some good moodsetting, but it made little to no sense [even considering suspension of belief.] And being computer oriented, I kept thinking 'No way, that couldn't happen, how stupid,' etc.
I rented it through Netflix so I don't feel like I wasted any money, but I would definitely not spend cash out of pocket to rent or *shudder* buy it.

That's what most people say about Stephen King movies. The movies rarely match up to the caliber of the books, with the exception of Stand By Me, Shawshank Redemption, and The Green Mile.

I also liked the People Under the Stairs & Adrenalin. Those are my favorite horror movies of all-time.

As for the Japan version of the Ring...wasn't that called Ringu? I wanted to see it really bad, because I heard that it was supposedly scarier and better than the Ring, but I can't see being scared reading subtitles. Not to mention, I hate reading subtitles. Id hate it being dubbed as well, but is at least dubbed?

FearDotCom was such a bad movie, the ending was building up to what could have been a decent movie, but it just ruined the whole thing, glad it was on OnDemand so I didnt have to pay for it.

Funny how the good ones are all non-horror movies, eh?

I dunno... I think Needful Things is the best King movie.

I thought Feardotcom was a decent movie for what it was. I don't really remember TOO much of it, but I remember that I enjoyed it. It was not complete crap as some people think.

I've always been curious about "When Darkness falls". How many stars would you give it? out of 5 stars that is...

i think ppl confuse the words "disappointing" and "crap/horrible" a lot....i think that fear dot com was disappointing, but definitely not crap
