I need help with Windows Media Center

My TV Tuner is no longer working and I do not know what to do. I tried googling for a solution but I didn't find anything that helped. Everything is plugged in correctly and it has been working fine for a year now. Whenever I try to watch live tv I keep on getting this error message.

The tunner is currently in use by another application or is not working. Please close other applications, restart Windows Media Center, and then try again.

I have closed everything, restarted, restarted my comp, etc. Nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions?

Which version of media center. TV tunes tend to be a mess. Can't say too much based on the information given, but I would make sure nothing is running in the background that might use the tv tuner
