My PS2 one works with the PS3 but not the Wii unsurprisingly.

How much is a cheap one that I can find?

As far as I know there isn't any keyboard that works with the Wii.

Nintendo allowed USB keyboard support awhile back in an update.

I much prefer this one (http://www.target.com/Logitech-Cordless-Desktop-510-Silver/dp/B000AY2L3U/sr=1-12/qid=1234194243/ref=sr_1_12/182-1097950-9440331?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Alogitech%20wireless%20keyboard&page=1), which I picked up at Target a few weeks ago. It'll go on sale here and there. When I bought it, it was $37, which I thought was a great price. It's nice and stylish looking, and really does work exceedingly well.

A little pricier, but then you get a full sized kb that can be used around on different computers and so on.

I've heard just about any will work. There's probably a compatibility list somewhere. I'll look around.

Actually, all of the USB keyboards (wired & wireless) I've tried work. You just need to have 3.1 on your system. At least I think that's the update that allowed USB keyboard support.

My Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 4000 works, my cheap Dell wired usb keyboard works, my other Microsoft Comfort Keyboard works (I don't know the number--it's my home keyboard and I'm at work), some random Logitech keyboard we had here at work (wired) worked. Pretty much if it has a usb dangle or usb wire, it should work.

Oh and there used to be a compatibility list, but it got taken down. I found an incomplete one when I last checked a few months back.

I've used both an Apple USB keyboard which worked perfectly, and now I use the Logitech wireless keyboard for Wii, which I really like. I like that it is wireless, of course, but also that it is small. Both the wireless and the small size are big deals to me. I have no interest in swapping this keyboard with a computer - one of the reasons I bought it was because I was tired of swapping the keyboard between my Mac and the Wii, so the last thing I want to do is go back to doing that again. In any case, I tried it hooked up to my Mac and it worked, although it's missing some keys you might want for use with a computer, namely a command key.

Do you need to register it with your Wii?
