PS2 -> PS3 Controller adapter

I've seen a couple of these devices on eBay that say they will allow you to use any PS2 controlller on the PS3. My question is this. Has anyone tried these/had any problems with them? I thinking about getting one specifically for my PS2 wireless guitar.

they work fine w/ the controllers but with the guitar thats a different story, it has compatibility issues with ps2 guitars and it wont work very well on the ps3. even if it works a bit, there are delays that will make it not so enjoyable.

I have the Pelican adapter. Works perfectly for the first GH guitar and DDR Max 2 pad.

Great guide assembled (written?) by Markman. He knows fighting games so he knows which convertors suffer from lag. I have two of the Pelican ones and they work very well. Nowadays however, they're hard to find without shelling out big bucks.
