Shantae sequel depends on sales of Mighty Flip Champs

We're using Mighty Flip Champs as a way to gauge fan interest, and to see how the DSiWare service performs. We'd like to do a Shantae sequel for DSiWare.

WayForward's put out quality stuff (ahem, Contra 4) so the fact that Mighty Flip Champs clocks in at more than 5 hours is quite exciting (for a DSiWare release).

Oh, it's a DSiWare game? Well, fuck that then. I'm not ready yet to buy a DSi but I'd totally buy a retail copy of this game for 30 bucks.

I wonder if they do decide to release a Shantae sequel if they're just gonna port Shantae Advance, because IIRC, that game was pretty much done.

Good luck to them...I hope they find that "fan interest" given that most of the games Wayforward makes are based around cartoons.

Mighty Flip Champs does look to be a promising DSiWare title.

Yeah update, on Nintendo Voice Chat (IGN Nintendo Podcast) Mark Bozon (brother/relative of a member from WayForward) restated "No, Shantae sequel doesn't depend on Might Flip Champs sales, it is if DSiWare goes well (sales) then it is a possibility that they will continue with a Shantae sequel"

That's it pretty much summed up, so yeah hopefully Big N does their job right and making the DSiWare good and maybe we'll see that sequel.
