Just because it shows that it was delivered doesn't mean squat. I had a package that showed delivered over 6 weeks ago, but I never got it. If it gets delivered to the wrong address, the delivery confirmation will still show that it was delivered.

Just give Paypal the tracking info showing that it was delivered and you should be fine. You can even call them up a day or two after you give them the info and they'll look at it right then and usually close the dispute if it shows Delivered. It sounds like the seller is trying to screw you. Make sure that you show Paypal those emails. I'd recommend working on your spelling/grammar a bit though when you talk to Paypal. Nothing against you, but it looks better if you seem a bit more professional with your typing and comments. It'll probably help your chances a little bit.

Especially since you have DC#, just clear it up with Paypal and get that buyer suspended for filing a false report. By the way, change the title to something wrong with buyer, not seller :D

Beware Paypal will not side with you even if everything is covered on your end if said buyer paid with a CC.
Last Summer I sold a sealed copy of .Hack GU Vol 3 to some buttnugget and it has DC and everything then like 3 months later he files a dispute because he said it was an "Unauthorized Charge" on the CC.. I scanned everything showed emails, etc. and what does paypal do.. they grant them a refund.. so not only did the guy get my game and probably beat it and decided to do this but he got my game and I ended up paying him for it..

There's a big difference between that & what slidecage is going through. His is basically a buyer trying to get the game & money by saying he never got it. Even though the DC# says otherwise and the buyer even emailed him saying that they did get it.
*Edit- His is basically a "Item not received" while your problem was a "unauthorized charge", two entirely different disputes. That's what I meant.

Its really not to different other then he actually had some other contact with the buyer... The buyer never responded to me in my case but I had a DC# and it was marked as delivered and they did nothing to protect me as a seller and sided with the scammer.

just an heads up... got an email back from the buyer few days back and they go
We got the package and our kids love it... got the item weeks ago. and someone must of hacked their ebay account...(if its just ebay then why did they request money via paypal and its from the same shipping address,... if someone hacked it what good it would be sending the money to someone else)
paypal has not contacted me back but i told them about this and am thinking about calling their local police for mail fraud if they dont close the dispute (or push it)

Can someone explain that whole "unauthorized charge" thing to me? What does it mean, and how does it work? It's to prevent unauthorized charges made to the caldholder's account right? That sounds fair enough, but then why would the seller have to suffer? It doesn't make a lick of sense to me... "Hey best buy, this cardmember is saying that someone used their card to buy this tv, sorry but you don't get your tv back AND you're going to need to refund this CM their money". Is that even legal? I was always under the impression that the CC company would have to foot the bill and they would then try and track down the ill-bought goods with their fraud departments.
Up until now I always thought that delivery confirmation negated both INR AND unathorized charge disputes but now that people are saying differently I'm concerened. How exactly would you protect yourself from this?
As for your situation, yeah it sounds like they're BS'ing you. They say they got the game, but between then and buying the game someone hacked into their account to leave you a neg and file a dispute? That would have to be one hell of a motivated scammer to try and sabotage a a transaction halfway through the selling process, and awfully kind of them let the original account user to still recieve the game!

Basically this if your card is ever stolen or say the kids take it the card holder has an option to claim it as an "Unauthorized Charge"....
So seeing this was 2 months at least after the sale there is no way this said person did not see a charge on the statement when untill that long seeing statements are sent out monthly!!..
They did nothing to look into it on my behalf and basically said due to the value of the item (Roughly $30) it is not worth it to deal with the legal department of the said CC...
So yeah PP really did me a favor there and seemed to not care about the documented proof of a reciept and delivery confirmation from the post office... This could end bad for Slide or if anything it seems like a fart in the system and could potentially just work its way out.. I just feel Paypal drops the ball on these issues at times just because its not a whole lot of money.

Ahh okay, so it's a matter of paypal not wanting to go through the legal process, not the CC company just saying "we're taking your money and your stuff" like I had thought. I had the same issue for an item with the same relative price as yours over a year ago. Back then I thought it was because I did not use DC when shipping but it sounds like that's not necessarily the case.
I'll admit I don't quite know what it takes to run a business like paypal, but given the chunk of money they take out of your payments you'd think they'd have the moolah to invest in dealing with issues like this. Hell they could at least afford to actually write back to you instead of that auto-response nonsense.

Go ahead and call them once and then after dealing with all the menu nonsense you get to deal with I would assume is CS reps from India and the at times broken english or heavy accent you struggle to understand....
