Jet Force Gemini the next Rare game?

A release of the original? A new game?

I'm just wondering if the several references to Jet Force Gemini in Banjo Tooie are an indication of that. Rare has a history of putting easter eggs like that in.

Soooo glad Rare's around. I like about half of their games, but it's just great to see someone doing something different...basically none of their games are like much of anything else anymore.

I would fucking LOVE a new JFG game. I did not buy Banjo-Tooie on XBLA yet, but there are Easter eggs referencing JFG then? Were those easter eggs in the original, would you happen to know, or did Rare throw them in recently to tease a new game? (I know Rare is not directly responsible for the port, so probably easter eggs from yesteryear?) Well yea, Jet Force Gemini being one of my favorite N64 games, I would definitely like to see another iteration of it. I have also liked just about every Rare game, so anything new from them in the near future is great!

There's instances of Rare games in a lot of other Rare games. They hinted at Battletoads, Killer Instinct 3 and JFG in Banjo Kazooie on 360, I believe.

That's a good question...I don't know if those references were in the original or not, or if they were something else.

I did notice in the game there's a stack of two Xbox games. The top one looks like Banjo, so I just wish I could see the one under it :D

EDIT: right now I'm kind of excited about what Rare's going to announce next. They're actually the only thing that's a pretty safe bet at this E3...we'll be getting SOMETHING from them :)

Oh man I hope I like Banjo 3 (assuming it even is a real Banjo 3). I bought it at launch, but I wanted to play through the first two first.

It sounds like its funny, but I don't like that they apperently make fun of the original games. There's nothing to make fun of there. I think Starfox Adventures is a better game (and better than Zelda too...sort of a combo of both, but more...and fixes my minorish issues with Banjo), but regardless, I'd dumped a good dozen hours at least into the first two games recently, and they hold up well.

I think like a lot of Rare games I got bogged down and gave up-but it was pretty different from other stuff if I'm remembering right.

Maybe I Just need a collection of the first two levels of a bunch of Rare games :lol:
