I bought a copy of FFXI: Vana Diel Collection 2008 a couple months ago, at the time I was kind of interested in trying it out, plus the game was only $10. Since then I've sort of lost interest and decided to just put it up for sale on ebay. I got a message from someone asking if it still had the registration code, because you apparently can't reuse the code making a used copy pointless. Is this true? Like I said, I never got to try it out, I always assumed that the registration process was online, and not linked directly to each copy of the game but I could be quite wrong.
There is only one code in the game, and once you've registered it to an account name, the game is worthless, which is why people can't sell used copies of it, in case the codes have already been used.

Yep. Once it's played, it's useless. This is why you don't see used copies anywhere.

well that sucks, guess I'll have to pull the listing. this store had a few various used copies of FFXI(it's a small-time store so they probably just don't know better), so I should probably let them know too. thanks guys

I have seen used copies of Final Fantasy XI at Gamestop, unless I was looking at a different Final Fantasy..
