I brought my bike in to get a new pick-up coil because i was to lazy to do it myself. they said it would be $192 for the part and $60 for the labor.

They called me today and told me they are charging me $212 for the part and $90 for labor. I'm pissed because I already put $480 into the bike this spring (at the same shop) and now they are overcharging me for this? It's only $50 extra but hey, I'm a cheap ass in more then just my gaming life.

Is there anything I can do?

you know, not gonna lie, the penny idea seems like what i'm going to do unless they go back to the original price that was agreed upon.

Did you get a quote in writing? If they said X and charged you Y, if X is in writing, then X is all you should be paying. Always get quotes in writing, especially if the place is kind of shady.

Also, I vote for C but remember, pics or it didn't happen.

I'm voting pennies, that will just piss them the hell off. Load them in a wheel barrow and just roll them all in. :)

why choose either... I'd say c while doing d.

I would too check that quote, if they just did a verbal... not much, but if they wrote it down, then fight the money back.

$480 this spring + another $302 = way too much for a bike

I vote C by the way...

I went in to pick it up today, and was polite at the beginning. They tried justifying it, so i pointed at where they wrote down the original price and then scribbled it out. After doing that, they apologized two-three times and took off another $20. Sadly I did not have the chance to use the letter C :(

haha letter c made me laugh. I'll have to try it at Hollywood video sometime. That place has just gone down. Not because of their new deals, but their employees are complete shitheads and know nothing about movies. They won't even help you find any dvds! WTH kind of employees are those? God I hope that place burns down soon.

They be Snakes on Planes!

d) Find out what the TOTAL bill is gonna be (add tax). Pay them in pennies. Yeah thats right, Bring some friends to carry the bags of pennies. Tell them "You guys better start counting!" and "Thats what you get for overcharging me!"

I've actually done this...granted it was paying off a friend who was being a jagoff, but still, it was hysterical.
