STALKER ends in a few days IIRC, I didn't really dig it that much. Maybe I'd like Clear Sky better.

When you say it ends in a few days, does that mean it will no longer be offered as a free download or the game will somehow stop working?

You will retain the files but if you try to launch it it will ask you to go gold (IIRC)

The download got corrupted for me twice so I'm going to pass. Plus it doesn't make much sense anyway if I'd have to power through it this week.
Come on, Gametap. Your service seems promising but the execution needs some work.

The old system was waaay more awesome, I don't know what possessed them to do this crappy web browser stuff.

It was the Metaboli acquisition. This is apparently more how their site is set up. I like the idea of it. It will be better for GameTap in the long run as people are getting more and more used to web-based apps aside from GameTap with Netflix, Google Reader / Docs, Quake Live, Battlefield Heroes etc. The web-based GameTap will make sense to people going forward. It's still a little sketchy but it's been greatly improved since they initially switched over. I'm riding the waves.
