This movie was fan-fucking-tastic.
Easy summery= It's a romantic horror comedy. If you like/love horror movies, you'll love it. If you hate horror movies...well, you'll get spooked a few times, but oterwise will enjoy it thuroughly.
The guy who plays Shaun makes this movie. Everyone around him was great too, he just holds it all together with a great hero/idiot routine.
I cant recommend this movie enough...
Heck, if it helps, they were actually playing Timesplitters in the movie :)

It's great, I saw the U.K. DVD last week. You can get it for $20 on Amazon I think.

I thought it was ok. Not really a great comedy, romance, or zombie movie, but a decent mix of the three. British humor isn't my cup of tea so to speak.

I've been wanting to see this since I first saw the preview. So it's a good date movie then?
And how's the gore level (it is a zombie flick after all)?

I agree, any GOOD movie needs to be seen on the big screen because there is nothing else like it. This movie is so hilarious, I have seen it about 4 times (on DVD) and you pick up little things that you may have missed the first time. Although I did see Ghost in the Shell in the theaters last week, even though I could have watched my friend's import DVD. I'm just tight on cash and had to make a choice.

It has a few scenes of gore...and most of those you'll actually laugh through. Im going to take my GF to see it over the weekend...enough jokes to keep her happy, and only a few instances where she will pierce my hand...

I saw Ebert & Roper review this movie. It was a split decision.
Roper gave the movie thumbs down although he was reluctant to do so. Ebert gave it a marginal thumbs ups.
Both like the creativity of the movie and both agreed that it was way better than Resident Evil.
SO the overall feeling I got is that this is a middle of the road movie. I'm not a paticular fan of Brittish Humor so I think this is going to be a rental.

It depends on what you go in there looking for.
If you were expecting Dawn of the Dead, or some other zombie flick...let alone zombie/action (crap) like RE, you'll be dissapointed. If you go in expecting a good laugh and a few zombie moments, you'll be pleasently surprised.

I will consider what you've said.

You should go check it out, if you dont like it I will paypal you the cost of your ticket :)
The adverts make it look lame , but it's truly the best most original movie I have seen in many years.
Plus the guys who made it worked really hard on it and deserve everything they can get : ) It's limited release and if it does well, it will be released in more theaters. If it does poorly it wont be around for more then a week or two.
