So, I got my bonus disc the other day. Damn that was fast...
Anyhow, since it just came in a crappy little sleeve, I plan on putting it in a regular GameCube case. I was wondering if anyone has found (or made) a custom DVD liner that could be printed out for it? I could probably make one myself, but not only am I cheap, I'm also lazy.
Thanks in advance for reading this.

You know what I did???
I bought a 2 disc keeper, from Nintendo, and put my release day Prime, and the Echoes demo in there.
It feels heavy, and looks great.
If you can get it on glossy paper, it would be worth it. If not, some gorgeous cover art, would be ruined by a sub-standard piece of paper.
Agree...??
Well, my way is untainted, so I feel better. Plus, it only cost me $1. $0, if I told you how I got a freebie.. :)

I thought about that too, getting one of the 2-disc cases, but again it's the overriding need to be cheap and lazy that made me think of a printout.
So...how DID you get a freebie? Feel free to PM or email me if you don't play well with others.

what are the dimensions of the Gamecube inserts? I doubt it's the regular 8.5x11. If it is a diiferent size, where do you buy the paper that size? Or do you guys just use a cutter. I am a BEGINNING Graphic Design major and would like to practice my photoshop skills.

Standard DVD inserts are 10.823" x 7.188"... and yes, you cut them.

No offense, but you guys are nuts! I'm so pissed at Nintendo for making the demo disc so crappy (they should have the SNES Metroid on it) and so hard to get . . . I buy so many used games that I don't have codes.
and here you are treating it like it's precious . . . I'm perplexed.
Not really criticial because I admit that I've got my own craziness . . .
Mostly I'm ticked at Nintendo for not making the disc better and/or not sending it all registered NP readers or giving it as a preorder!!!!

I thought it was a well done bonus disc. You get a few good trailers (which are always better on the big screen), the little bits about where each game falls into the timeline that I didn't know, and a goodly sized interactive demo that really gives you a good feel of what you'll be playing when the game is released.
It's no Zelda Collectors edition, but it was sufficient (especially since I already had enough registered games before they announced it).

here's the one that i did... (http://www.philipsfilmreviews.com/metroid2.jpg)
and for printing it off... i take it to kinkos. get it done on a color laser printer, so that you don't have ink bleeding off and staining the inside cover of the case (which has happened to me). also, because of the size of the image, it won't print correctly on a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper. i have it done on something larger, i forget the actual size, but they have it there. ask for glossy. then use their paper cutters to (carefully) chop it down to correct size. the printing costs like $2 and change, i believe.
let me know if there's anything else i can do to help.

Alright, here's how I got my FREEBIE.
Place your order over the phone.
Tell them you need 4 single cases, and a double.
Say this: "I only need 4+1, so can you just charge me $4 for the 5 pack, but supplement one of the singles with a double,...as they cost the same?"...then, explain that the shipping would increase, if you were to order more than you need.
They should, charge you $6 TOTAL, and offer you the 5 pack, and give you the free single.
At least, that's how I got away with the free double disc, only paid for a 5 pack, and saved $$ on shipping.
Only a freebie, if you need other cases, but if you eBay a lot, you know you'll need some new cases anyways,..as almost everyone lies about the condition of their games.

Took me forever to download, but damn, that's slick! Thanks DocRamon!
My only suggestion is that it would've been cool if you could've put the "Only For" triangle and the "Nintendo Gamecube" scoop on the upper left of the front fold.
Otherwise, this is great!

most of the other recent bonus discs (pokemon colosseum, zelda ce, rebel strike) didn't have that... those are the ones that i based this cover on.
if you'd rather have the scoop, let me know and i'll make a quick adjustment for ya. it shouldn't be too difficult.

Nah, I looked at my Zelda discs and realized you were right. Great job. I'll definitely get this printed up.
