Has anyone from outside the UK ordered a console from Amazon? I'm curious about shipping charges/extra VAT/extra taxes... and any other comments people might have. I've been thinking about picking up a PS3 if there's a price cut at E3.

I ordered my PS3 from amazon and I live in Denmark. It was here ninjaswift in about two days. Yes, they will use your contry's vat, probably making it more expensive and yes shipping ain't cheap and stuff, but they do not, like most other "british" webshops ship from Guernsey/Jersey so there will be no duty to pay.
If you want to see how much it cost, just go through the ordering proces right up till the last page and then DON'T place the order if you don't want it. I believe you can even get a price in your own currency (but probably cheaper to just pay the pounds and let your "credit card" do the exchange.)
