Thanks, Scorch. I ordered two. I've been playing my brothrt-in-law's copy... I haev to say I'm not usually a racing fan, but this game gives me more of a sense of speed than any of the other (admitadly few) I've tried.
And the crashing stuff is more fun than I thought it would be. Definitely a game I should get for myself, so I did.

The graphics are overall worse, but there are a few nicer effects. The online play is apparently a bit more stable, but not everyone can communicate, and theres nothing like hearing someone you just rammed into a wall screaming obcenities.

I got the cancellation email as well. Not sure why since the card I used had PLENTY of credit on it. I tried it a second time with another card just to see if it works. It may be possible that sony has security measures to prevent screw ups like these. Time will tell.

Hmm... I Have one of those Visa Debt/Credit Cards. It's pretty unreliable as a Credit Card. USually it screws up when I am asked for a security number. It has the three digit security code, but somehow it doesn't jive right with the Card's number. If I use it without Security code I have no problems...

Anyway, I placed my order today with my visa, and not only did everything work fine, but I got a special "Visa Security screen." At first I paused thinking it was a scam. But the screen included the name of my bank. To have that it had to be hooked into the Visa System...

I'd like to know if the people who are getting cancellations have ordered with visa. Maybe their site is geared towards that. I know someone mentioned they got a cancellation order with Paypal.

A MasterCard was used for my order and I didn't get a cancellation notice, if that helps anybody with this situation. I did, however (like everyone else), get a backorder notification.

The paypal card I used, uses mastercard's system. The second card I used, my friend's, was a visa system card.
