neways These headsets are the bomb. They arent only just a headset, but they also have a seperate line to plug onto you TV so you can hear the game itself. It comes real handy for late night gaming, when everyones sleeping.

Guess I should have elaborated a bit more. I currently use the old-style 360 microphones that have the convenient mute button right at the bottom of the gamepad (within reach of your thumb). I'm flipping that thing on and off all the time, without interrupting my gameplay. Pulling the cord out would work, it's just not as convenient as what I currently use. I also like to still be able to hear what people in-game are saying when I have the mic muted (like if I'm on the phone or just briefly talking to somebody else in the room).

Another thing to note from when I was researching this, is that if you want to hear game audio through the headset, you'll have to plug a separate cord into your television or sound system (and it sounds like this cord is fairly short, so it may require an extension if you don't want to be sitting a couple feet in front of your 50" plasma).

I've been wanting a better headset for my 360 and thought this might be a good one, but I'm not entirely sure after finding out more about it. There are mixed reviews on Amazon.com about it, for anyone who cares to look them up. It definitely looks cool, though :)

Okay, so here's my update. I cancelled my coupon-less $25 order without any hassle (just got into a live chat and gave them my order #). Granted, we humans top out at 20-22k, but as compressed as videogame audio normally is, that slightly lower ceiling on the end of the high end ranges is moot.

I had these, some Skullcrushers, and a pair of earbuds in my cart, plus the free buds for hitting $75 at work today. Then I waffled on it, and lost all. Oh well, I guess I don't really need them.

I decided, for $25, what the hell and went back in this morning and got the Lowrider 360s, as well as a paid of Ink'd (which have actually had pretty good reviews across the board, it seems---especially in regard to bang for buck).
