As far as the return goes, I'm pretty sure you have to wait for the store you got the games at to get The Show in used because you can't return used games at different stores. I'm about 95% sure of this. Give them a call.

Nope you can do it at any store, last buy 2 get 1 free sale my store didnt have a game I wanted so i bought same priced game and went to the one across town and they switch it out no problem.

Wrong. I return games to other stores all of the time. In fact, I did it twice today.

Thats exactly what I did today. Bought Fable2, GTA4, and Shaun White Snowboarding today. Exchanging that last one for Call of Duty 4 when I get that chance tomorrow. Just need to make sure to bring in all 3 games along with the receipt.

I just DON'T get how the hell someone can pay $60 for a game, then beat it within 2-3 days and trade it in for half of what they paid. There's alot of people out there with ALOT of disposable income, I suppose, since I see used copies of new release titles less than a week after release.

Would I do such a thing? Not since I found CAG, that's for sure. Even if I DO pay close to retail for something, you better believe I'm beating it and my friends are beating it and I'm playing through it AGAIN before I EVER consider trading it in for the jackshit GS gives.

You do realize that both the 360 and PS3 versions of GTAIV are $14.99 USED at Blockbuster and that Target had NEW copies of COD 4(for PS3 and 360, I think)for $37 last week, right? Just saying....

The better idea would be for them to rent it, my brother used to do this samething and i never understood... but i think it happens because some people get these games with a five finger discount.. so its no loss to them.. the employee was telling me the guy who traded it in for 3x.xx, said he beat it four times already..he must have no life and only thing he does is spend money on games..

I could have also got Cross Edge, but i didnt cause im not into those types of games..

I wish i could put sign outside GS saying that i will pay $5 more for certain brand new games with my phone number on it.. I might do that with the Walmart Trading Kiosk:D

I really wish Hollywood Video would have another last gen $4 game sale, since I'd then consider trading in some crap to GS or trading into Amazon's used game store, though I'm not sure what they demand as far as quality goes.

EDIT: Nevermind about the Amazon trade thing, since I just checked and most of the NES/SNES and other systems games they'll take are at least 3's on the Digit Press rarity guide. In other words, select harder to find games. LOL Figures.

Good luck finding The Show used now, even with the problems its had, you'll be lucky to find used copies before the All-Star Break, more likely until August-September as owners of that game generally don't trade it in until football season at the earliest.

My local Gamestop had it once since launch, and it was gone the next day.

I would think it won't work. Usually what they would do is a return/rebuy, except the rebuy entry wouldn't have the promo in the computer anymore. I think they probably would allow an exchange for a similar priced game, but check with them first.

Yeah, if you had done the exchange during the sale, it would be simple to get a $54.99 game to replace the $39.99 by just doing a return-rebuy. Now that the sale is over, I don't know if you'll be able to do it.

Far Cry 2 had a price drop today to $26.99 used. I bought Oblivion GOTY, Mirrors Edge, and Quake Wars.

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah I did know about the COD4 at Target. Didn't know about the Blockbuster price though. The only Blockbuster left near me is pretty much cleaned out of games anyways when I went to check for prepackaged games from the other deal thread (it doesn't have a game store).

But the way I see it is if I divide the costs, I'm getting Fable2 LE, COD4, and GTA4 for around $22 each used with edge. I can live with that :)
