GS/EB Coupon FAQs - thanks oscargrouch

Coupon is valid in store (B&M Locations) only, it does not work online
Just print the coupon, not the whole ad
Coupon can be printed from this thread by clicking the image to expand, right clicking on the image, selecting view image, then pressing print
Coupon DOES NOT stack with any other offer, except EDGE cards.
Used Deal of the Week is considered a promotion so it will ONLY stack with the EDGE Card, nothing else.
The EDGE card takes 10% from the original price of the Used Deal of the Week, not the promotional price.

I'm changing up the way I put up the weekly ad. Just the most important information. Most of the stuff is just now available or coming soon information. Not necessary in my mind. I'm also putting all price drops together as well. I'll probably keep doing the trade-in bonus offers though.

That's a decent deal on Mario Galaxy for those who didn't get it at Blockbuster for 24.99 new (or 19.99 used)

Actually the $10 off Wolverine or Metallica is not a bad deal either. Not fantastic, but better than usual for GS.

Was expecting a DS coupon, but maybe next week...

Will still use this coupon though; DMC, Shadow of the Colossus, MGS Collection, Kinetica (don't judge me lol...)

No. They are considered 2 different promos and you can't have more than one promo.

GBA, actually.

No. They are considered 2 different promos and you can't have more than one promo.

You can't use coupons with the used deals of the week, but I'm pretty sure you can still use the b2g1 on them.

The used deal of the week will come up at it's regular price. It's considered a promo and that price doesn't come up until they hit total. More than one promo wont stack. I'm almost 100% sure of that. Of course, we could wait to get a confirmation from someone doing both.

YOU CAN USE THIS COUPON WITH THE B2G1 FREE DEAL. I've done it dozens of times and will do it this weekend.

Yeah I've never had that. My coupon last time was for 20% off PS3 while DOTW was Resistance and I could use one or the other.

Bout time on the coupon though. Hope it's put to good use.

dissolve, you cannot do that. You were saying this on the other board as well. You just got extremely lucky, and I wish that this would work for most, however it does not.

For factual support, see the gamestop fine print, where it says that promotions may not combine.

As everyone else is saying, you got lucky. It doesn't work by default, the eternal 10% off coupon doesn't work with B2G1 either. Proven time and time again.

That's a decent deal on Mario Galaxy for those who didn't get it at Blockbuster for 24.99 new (or 19.99 used)

After EDGE 10% off the original used price, should bring it down to about $25 used, which is definitely a decent deal for those who still havent gotten the game, and like you have said, missed the BBV ones that were on clearance.

dissolve, you cannot do that. You were saying this on the other board as well. You just got extremely lucky, and I wish that this would work for most, however it does not.

Seriously, lol. Its called fine print dissolve. "factual data", lol. Just because those GS employees are either really nice or just way too stupid to give you the eternal discount, doesnt mean that it will work for everyone, especially when its specifically stated in the email it CAN'T be combined with other offers. Sure it may work, but thats completely YMMV. And if you still want to know where the "factual data" is,

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=191838

right where it says at the bottom of the email, "May not be combined with any other offer."

I hope we get 25% again eventually, though them only doing 25% on getting rid of XB1 games shows we may not. Did that clearout % ever go up? But I swear if the coupons for current gen ever go lower than 20% I'll end up in jail.

So can Used Deals of the Week be combined with the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal? I wouldn't mind picking up Super Mario Sunshine for $10 along with two other $10 games for about $20 after edge card.

No it won't. The Deal of the Week operates on a promo code (which is why you still get the 10% Edge discount on the base of the original price)

only if a manager manually puts it through for you, otherwise the system won't let 2 different promotions go through at the same time.

I really do not get the hoopla over the B2G1 deal. eBay usually has better prices.

You can get the new releases on eBay for around $40-45

A lot of people use it to pick up games on the cheap using credit they have built up from flipping games.

B2G1 is basically 33%+10%EDGE, which comes out to 43% off purchase total. But that is only assuming people uses this effectively to get the full percentages off. I always make sure to pick up 3 games that are the same price in order to really take advantage of it, and also make sure that the 3 games are all games I want and none of them are fillers. I mean even if you buy 3 360 of PS3 games at $54.99 for B2G1, after EDGE and everything, it comes out to about $36 a game, which is pretty damn decent especially since you don't have to wait for it to arrive. But everyone is different. I just like B2G1 since I hate waiting when I do buy games online.

J7.
05-30-2009, 06:20 PM
This is great for people who don't buy new releases. And soon Ebay will be taxed for items on ebay in every state making this even better for new releases $35-36 after tax versus $42-$48.

Does the trade in offer to get a Wii still give 30% more when trading in consoles/handhelds? on Gamestop's site it says: "Trade any games in and get a 30% bonus toward the purchase of a new Wii system."
