View Full Version : Is Tampoo reliable? Any experiences with them?

Tampoo.com has some very strange prices, including games that are way overpriced, but they have several that are underpriced, and I am very interested in buying from them. Unfortunately, the site looks a little iffy, BBB.org doesn't have an entry for them, and I've never heard of a single person that's bought from them.
So, does anybody know anything about Tampoo.com? How about a single person that's ordered from them?

NintendoFanGirl posts deals from them all the time, though I'm not sure she's ordered from there or not. You may want to ask her and see if she has. I'd think she has, though asking her would be the best way to know for sure. Other CAGers might have as well, me personally, nope.

They have Katamari Damashi for $13.99 + 3.69 shipping, so I'm trying to find another deal there before I give them a try, so shipping doesn't kill it as much.
It would make sense if it were French Canadians, but they're from Ontario, so I dunno... I've seen NintendoFanGirl say its a reliable Canadian site so it must be ok, and they have some positive reviews at places like Epinions (but none at resellerratings).

They had Donkey Konga for cheap but I found no feedback or reviews about their service anywhere, so I didn't order from them.

I just got my copy of Shadow Hearts that I ordered from them, so based on that 1 transaction I'd say they are at least somewhat reliable. I know I'd have no problems ordering from them again.
I ordered the game on the 12th and got it on the 18th, comming from Canada, that was fairly quick I thought.

I ordered MMX: Command Mission and Katamari Damacy from them on the 10th and they finally shipped on friday according to the site so they should arrive sometime this week, if they do I'll concider the place reliable if a bit on the slow side.

I ordered from them not to long ago and recieved everything after about a week to ship not a bad site, but as mentioned before it is based in Canada so travel time to the US can take a while.

They have a ton of games at $6.71, but they are all out of stock right now.
Marvel vs. Capcom Xbox probably won't be coming back in stock, but Gradius V might.

They sent me an obviously resealed game (loose thin shrinkwrap). Security seal was intact though and game is mint, so its probably not worth my time to ship it back to Canada for another.
The 2nd part of the shipment hasn't shipped yet, it better be sealed.

It's funny, I know this has to be a canadian thing but I finally got my MMX:command mission on wendsday and it was shrink wrappd with an extra french-canadian language version of the cover insert and instructions (the game it self was brand new with intact factory wrapping). Hopefully Katamari Damacy will arrive tomarrow.... and even though it's a bit late, technically since they had to ship separatly, it's like KD being shipped free because they didnt charge them separately! ...or I could think of it as 14.99+shipping.
