I imagine that they have recently received a huge amount of NFS: Undercover 360. It is the Target clearance game that is the easiest to find (atleast in my area).

Well, this was one of the harder ones for me and I finally found it last night. Then I go on and the button is missing for trade-in. But apparently it was just a glitch because it is back now with a TIV of $16. Oh well, I did better stuff anyway.

When did you last look? I was contemplating this whole thing late last night and besides Need For Speed Undercover which had no value last night (and is now $16), the following have actually dropped since last night/early this morning:

Saints Row 2 360 $17.50 -> $16.25
Secret Agent Clank $10.50 - >$8
NCAA Basketball 09 $18 -> $9 (!!)
Afro Samurai $14 -> $13

The others I was looking at last night stayed the same: Mortal Kombat vs DC ($21), Prince of Persia ($13), and Rock Band 2 ($17.50). I don't see anything that went up.

Holy hell, I almost waited till today to see if NFSU would come back (which it did) but I would have lost out big time on SR2 and NCAA Basketball 09. Glad I locked in $17.50 and $18 for those last night!

I think I know who this third-party buyer is. I was checking around eBay for some games, and when I clicked one to view the description, I saw that it's shipping out of Hudson, MA. The company is Piece of Mind Books; they now have a lot of games up for auction on eBay. Now, Hudson is a pretty small town here in MA, so I'm guessing there can't be more than one online game retailer based out of there.

Well first oif all, COD: WAW was $22.50 yesterday and now its $25. Quantam of Solace was $8.75 and now I think it jumped up to like 12-13. Fable 2 was 12.25 but it was 13 or so when traded. My AC/DC Track Pack was $7-8 but now its in the 11-14 range as well. There were a few more but I cant remember.

Yeah, the price drops I understand - what I don't get are the frequent ups and downs. They must have the prices tightly coupled to supply. I mean, GS sort of does the same thing but it is much less volatile. Except when there's a major change in MSRP you can expect GS prices to only change by a buck or two week-to-week (and they usually only go down, though occasionally they go up slightly if they are low on something). This Amazon stuff swings around wildly - I've never seen anything like it for trade-ins before.

Which do I get? The DSI or PSP? And which version?

I previously had a DS lite and I just couldn't get into it. It was a little too gimmicky for me. I got sick of it for many of the same reasons I got sick of the Wii. I got a PSP on this deal and absolutely love it. To me, it is much more for gamers. DS is more for casual. I got the Rock Band bundle and would recommend the same to you if you're a gamer and not into the gimmicky casual games. It comes with a 4 GB memory stick and the game is in more demand than Ratchet and Clank. You get School of Rock as well. I like all these things, but the bigger memory stick was key. To me, it all has a nice feel and I like playing on it as much as my PS3. Also, there are so many games I was able to get for nearly nothing on Goozex. I have a stack of games that will last me into next year for hardly any points. All in all, very happy with my PSP.

Or (and this is a really novel idea), read the terms of Amazon's trade-in program, which mention the name of the third party that handles the trade-ins and then google that name. And what do you know, the very first link on google leads you to the homepage of that company. On that homepage they mention their ebay ID. But not only that, you find their half.com ID there too, as well as their amazon seller ID.

Took me 10 days from CA (I was not happy with the wait either), so hopefully you will be alright. They took everything but the non-upc motorstorm that I am guessing gamestop was not supposed to sell. I was concerned because my first trade (back when they started this) was taken and confirmed in 4 days. It is a highly variable system, but I haven't read of anybodys yet that didn't actually arrive (as opposed to them getting the shipment but saying that discs were broke or something).

^Media Mail takes up to 10 business days + the 3rd party processing time, it could be more than 2 weeks. So nothing to be worry about, maybe start worrying after 3 weeks.

And if you're the type of person that worry too much, just pay the $10 priority mail flat rate box or something.

Just shipped mine off. I added DC to it for 80 cents no problem. The guy just rang it up at $2.77 + 80 cents for DC, then deducted $2.77 as "Customer Postage".

Since this is going media mail all the way across the country I really wanted the DC so I can have an idea of when to expect the credit. I see some people are getting the credit the day after mailing theirs. I suspect they live in MA as media mail can be pretty quick if you are close by. Mine, however, I expect to travel through a few hubs and take 7-10 business days. It's nice to keep an eye on it with DC while it's on the way. I didn't bother with insurance though.

Yeah, the trade-in credit is just deposited as an Amazon gift card, so you can use it for anything.

I'm 99.9% positive you can use that on the bundle. People have been getting the DSi with a game packaged and had no problems.

I got my gift card last Saturday but am still waiting on my coupon code. So much for getting a free game with my Wii (even though Wii Music sucks - I could trade it in though). I've emailed Amazon twice with no luck - they say I have to wait until July 6 before they can do anything. Yeah, figured that was probably the case, since the boxes for all of the bundles are about the same size. Being new to the PSP, though, I had no idea before ordering (and don't know how I would have found out, beyond asking a question that I didn't even know needed to be asked). Figured I'd pass on the info for anyone else who didn't know.

It borders on false advertising on Sony's part, as the bundle box shows a picture of the full game case, making it look like that's what's in there.

I am having the same issue. They received my games on 6/15, credited my account with the trade value a couple days later and I'm still waiting on the coupon code. You're supposed to receive the code within 10 days after they receive your trade. The first email I sent was a little premature and they told me to wait until the 25th. No code. Emailed again they tell me to wait until the 29th. Ok...still no code. I called today and the woman had no clue what promotion I was even talking about. She contacted their marketing and promotions department and said they would email me by the end of the week. Great.

I had to talk to 2 reps, I think the first one was kind of new. The second one was great, though, and said that I should be credited in a day or two, and then I can order the new console. Hopefully there's no more problems.

When you say "no record" do you mean that it doesn't show your trade-in at all, or that it's still showing it as "not yet received"? If it's the latter, have patience -- it won't be updated until they've processed your trade-in, which generally takes a day or two. If it's really not showing up at all, then yeah, you should probably be concerned.

Like I said, you shouldn't expect to receive credit already, if the package was just delivered today. You have to give them some time to process it first. But if your trade isn't showing up at all, that's kinda strange.

Your Trade In Account is separate from your Purchases Account which is also Separate from Your Seller Account. Each one requires uses your existing log in just in a different area.

I haven't yet. I think the problem is that the left hand isn't talking to the right. The customer service reps I've been getting are seeing the credit for the trades on my account and think that everything is find. They don't know what promotion I'm talking about and end up saying they'll contact marketing and I'll hear back from them. I'm getting really frustrated as well, especially with how many PS3 (free remote, free controller, $50 off) that have flown by while I've been waiting for the code. Well, I was one of the fortunate to receive my coupon in 3 days. But ironically, I got a case of bad luck: it seems UPS lost my DSi + Rhythm Heaven (first time they've ever lost a package for me). Ordered on Friday, was supposed to be here yesterday 6/30 because of Prime 2 day shipping. Tracking number shows it was picked up on 6/26, left 6/27, and arrived at a UPS facility on 6/29. No movement since then and no delivery estimate.

Even until after 11:00 last night, it still said it was on time for delivery on 6/30. Called UPS today, lady said yeah, you should have received it by now, so call Amazon. Called Amazon, said if no delivery by tomorrow, they'll overnight a new shipment. At least both companies were helpful & polite. It's kind of funny though, UPS couldn't lose the $10 CD or $20 game I received last week, but instead lose the package worth $200 that they're probably going to have to pay for.

But I guess being a loyal Amazon customer, I generally trust them. One way or another, they follow through. I'm a Prime subscriber now, and I wouldn't be unless I had a good amount of trust for them, so I'm speaking from an especially confident position.

Anyway, I didn't mean to say it as someone controlling or manipulating--simply a suggestion, because they're not technically required to get you anything until day 10, if they chose to do it that way. Now with that said, obviously anxiety grows as the days go by, but I know that in 99.9% of cases, Amazon will follow through, even if it takes a little prodding, so I guess it's just the case that I wouldn't personally worry. Plus, I've done these "10 days after" promos a few times on Amazon, with pre-orders of Resistance 2 and InFamous, so again, I've been pretty confident the whole way through.

There definitely did seem to be some internal confusion about this offer--I had called a rep as well, asking about what consoles could be purchased, specifically targeting the PSP Go. But they put me on hold for 10 minutes and said "you can trade in any games on our website."

I have a feeling that this was kind of a shotgun promo--now that the period has ended, I have a feeling they'll get their act together a bit better. But previously, they did seem confused. Either way though, I am quite confident in Amazon, and hope everyone is satisfied with little to no stress/anxiety.

Wow, I guess I was one of the lucky ones - I got my coupon 3 or 4 days after they credited me for the trade-ins, no problem. I was afraid at first because the coupon directs you to a page of "qualifying consoles", and the psp go is not listed there. But just did a search for the system, added it to my cart & put in the coupon code and it worked no problem.

Thanks to the OP, $250 for the go I never would have done...but $100 + 4 games I didn't care anything about anyway was perfect. :)

Talked to Amazon again this morning and they continue to say I am basically out of luck until July 10 - which would officially be 15 business days after my gift cards were accepted(june 20). The offer originally stated at most it would take 10 business days after the trade-ins were accepted - they obviously changed that. Then if I don't get it by then, they will manually put it in my account. So basically myself (and anyone else that has had an extended wait for your code) are out of luck. If you don't get your code within three or four days, expect to get it on July 10 or later.

I know other people have had good experiences with this deal, but after this, I will not be doing any more trade-ins with Amazon. Not worth the trouble.

As I mentioned before, when it arrived the box print-art still said it had 256mb memory, but the unit itself had 512. You WILL need a hdd to get the most out of the system. It is LOUD when it is spinning discs, so having the option to install games to the hdd is very nice. I bit the bullet and grabbed a live starter pack (60gb hdd, headset, 3months xbox live, ethernet cable) for $100... kind of pricey but I'm not going to mess around with ebay sellers that get them from who knows where since I don't want to do anything that voids the warranty.

I was just about to come on here and say you don't get an email (at least not right away) even after they credit your account. I checked my DC number and the package was delivered early this morning. I figured with the holiday they might not check them in until next week but just for kicks I logged in to my trade account and saw that all my games were accepted! Then as I was about to respond to Haako saying they get deposited before the email is sent out, the email came ;).

What console were you looking for, exactly? As far as I can tell, they have all of the currently available ones listed on the site, and the coupon should work on any of them (even if it wasn't on the list on the offer -- people have been able to use it to get, for example, the PSP Go, which was not listed).

Well, I just meant it was a crappy time for me to get such a thing - and to the now lack of any bundles (like the DSi + Rythym Heaven). I have all the consoles I need. I even have a black DSi from the day it came out that I have yet to open. I'd consider getting another of those for the kids but they only have the blue - and no bundle like they supposedly had before (would like to get a free game with it). I may end up going with the Lime Green DS Lite bundle, but then we really don't need another DS in the house especially if it isn't the DSi. Basically, I have no idea what to use it on so I'll probably hold off to see if they come up with any more sales/bundles.

I just don't understand what you're getting out of it, or why you're so invested in it. You don't trust it, we get that. Good for you. The truth of the matter is that some people have had good experiences, some people have had bad experiences; if you haven't had any experience, then you don't have much to add to the discussion, and after a point you're just trolling.

Eh, go easy. It's not really a big deal. At this point, the deal itself is over. The people who are happy are already happy. The people who are frustrated are already frustrated. One extra person talking shouldn't change much. I had a great experience, and he's not bringing it down for me.

When I got my Rock Band bundle the other week, it definitely didn't have the latest firmware (don't remember what the version was, wasn't paying that much attention, but I did have to update it to get the latest). The update is a pretty quick and easy process, though, and you'll have to do it eventually regardless (they're sure to release more firmware updates in the future), so it's really not a big deal.

Unless, that is, you're trying to avoid the latest one because it hasn't been hacked yet or something. I'm not that interested in hacking my PSP, so I can't tell you much there, other than the fact that the one that I got didn't have it.

Fair enough. I couldn't say since I don't head over to that topic--nothing more I want to trade in at this point. Regardless though, I would hope people know well enough to read all the information rather than just a few posts. I know I was on the fence over this deal for a while, but after reading many posts from many different people, I decided to go for it and was quite happy. Not the case for everyone, but if they don't take the deal, it's as much their own fault for not reading more of the topic to get a better representative consensus here.

They accepted my cartridge only Pokemon Leaf Green edition. I traded in a DS game but I had the case and manual, so I can't help you with that.

Well at this point it has been 25 days since I received the $58 credit and 2 rejected games because of a lack of UPC (guitar hero world tour and guitar hero 2). The only reason I traded games in to amazon was for the matching $75 coupon if I traded in $75 worth of merchandise.

I have yet to receive even the $50 coupon.

I have called 5 times and each time they tell me that they have to discuss this further with marketing. The last call I placed yesterday, I requested that all of my items be shipped back to me. I'm not really confident that they will even deliver.

Has anyone ordered the core psp 3000? I am thinking about getting one, but the unknown firmware scares me. I am not sure about the difference between 5.02 and 5.03. I think 5.03 was suppose to patch some security holes in the psp softare.

Firmware 5.02 is what the psp came preloaded with, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that sony has already begun shipping psp's with firmware 5.51. A psp with 5.02 can be updated to 5.03 which is what is needed for running homebrew.

And my girlfriend was home all day, too, so it's not like it would have sat outside for any extended period of time.
