This is my first post so hopefully I am doing this right and its in the right spot. Anyway Best Buy has a deal of the day for house of the dead : overkill and Madworld for the Wii for 19.99 each plus shipping (free if you are platinum reward zone member)
again sorrry if this is not in the right spot or if I broke any other rules
Madworld (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9196078&st=madworld&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1218055362933) $19.99
House of the Dead Overkill (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9206478&st=house+of+the+dead+overkill&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1218058487739) $19.99

you mean madworld?

I'm nigh certain this isn't a repost and you put all the info into the title (well, besides the Madworld mistake; just click edit, go advanced, and change it)... in other words, you rock!
Thanks for the great deal too, ordered Overkill.

yeah sorry I was listening to Anthrax as I was typing . heard "it's a Madhouse" and typed it by mistake
In my cart with tax and shipping the final cost came to $24.36 to Pennsylvania. Hmm.

Didn't gamestop have the trade in value of these listed in the $20-25 range? Might be interesting to see if they're worth a flip; or, since they're rather short games, buy and beat nearly instantly and then trade in.

I mean, good deal OP, but I have a BB on the way home and it'd be nice to just go get them...

Nice find OP! Here are links:
Madworld (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9196078&st=madworld&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1218055362933)
House of the Dead: Overkill (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&id=pcat17071&type=page&st=house+of+the+dead+overkill&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=15&sp=&qp=&list=n&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960)
For me, at least, standard shipping adds $2.99 and then there is tax too, but still a good deal, nabbing each game for less then $25 shipped!

Just ordered HOD with free shipping and a $5 RZ coupon to make it $15.89 shipped. Not bad for what is probably the best game on the Wii.

Random thought, in store may do a price match if you tell them to check the website, but I don't know for sure. There was once a price difference between the website and store for an SD card and they gave me the online price. Hope this may help some people out.

Thanks OP, I ordered Overkill ... I hope this doesn't get as repetitive as Madworld's commentary, and nearly as lame, with it's ... "At the time of its release, Guinness World Records declared it the "most profane video game in history" due to [fuck] being used 189 times."
Done and done !
Thanks !

It seems like you can price match the website at the store:
"What if I find a lower price at another Best Buy store or on BestBuy.com?
If an item you purchased at Best Buy is advertised at a lower price at another Best Buy store in your local area or on BestBuy.com, We'll refund you the price difference from our own sale price during the return and exchange period on your product. Simply bring in your original Best Buy receipt to the customer service counter while that lower price is still in effect. The Price Guarantee does not apply to our or our competitors' free offers, limited-quantity items, items for sale November 28th & 29th, 2008, open-box items, clearance items, Outlet Center items, mail-in offers, financing, bundle offers or pricing errors."
And it doesn't say on either the Madworld and HotD pages that they're web exclusive offers. They're just on sale. I'm going to try to PM this after work today.
Oh and thanks for the tip OP.

I bit -- I can't get out to a store till Thursday, and I fully expect them to be gone by then. Of course, I'll kick myself if this becomes universal.
On an unrelated note, the system wouldn't accept my Reward Zone card number, saying the information didn't match the account. Anyone have this happen? I'm at work now, so I can't call their customer service, but does anyone know if I can get them to apply the points after the order has been placed?

Yes you can apply points after the fact. I've done it in the past. All you need to do is go on the RZ website and "report missing purchases" and you can enter your receipt number or order confirmation number for online orders.

Oh man, unfortunately, yes--this happened to me as well. It's like my BB.com and RZ account's didn't "agree" in some minor way (might have been missing a middle initial, or something) and BB.com wouldn't accept my RZ ID. I wish I had advice for you on how to correct this, but I tried everything--calling them, e-mailing them, in-store customer service...after numerous attempts, I think a one-two punch of e-mailing and calling them resulted in a merger of the accounts. Good luck, though.
Anyway, back on topic, I'm quite tempted to bite on HotD, but...in-store pickup or free shipping would be nice. To those who have played Overkill--is it worth a purchase? It seems more like an enjoyable long weekend rental.

In for HOTD. Rented it a few weeks ago, and me and the wife had a blast with it. The only drawback for anyone with youngsters in the house is the profanity in this game is non-stop. It completely fits the game, but I had to wait til the kids were sound asleep before firing it up...

Just pricematched in Norwalk, CT. No problems, and they didn't even ask questions, I just brought the printout with me. This was even after house of the dead was already sold out online.
For anyone looking there, they had 1 copy left of house of the dead on the shelves, though their system shows 4 left. I'm not sure how many copies of madworld were left since it wasn't on the shelf. I had to ask, and the computer showed 5 left (now 4 since I bought 1) and they finally found it "up front." It came to $42.36 for both.

that's a pretty good bestbuy - especially with that double sided rack in the front where the guides used to be with all the 50% off sticker for a variety of games - Saints Row 2 CE, GTAIV CE, and all the other exclusive/big box packages they have. Nice to meet you in the Franklin area.

I went early and told the guy at the video game area that I was looking for Madworld. I told him it was 19.99 on-line and I asked him if it would ring up that way. He looked it up and said it might, but because there was nobody else in his area he followed me up to the registers and actually rang me up. When he looked it up it actually said it was still in stock, so that's why I guess I had no problem PM it.

I hate how the price matching policy is always depending on the person's mood, and their own interpretation of BestBuy's policies. Here are my two experiences:
1) Walked to customer service rep, who was obviously in a bad mood before I ever walked up to her counter. I bring the print-out (from before it was OOS). She proceeds to tell me that the flyer says it's from the BestBuy outlet, and hence she cannot price match. I tried to then have an intelligent conversation, but she cuts me off, and says that I need to look at the big asterik that says 'Exclusions will apply'. I left it at that.
2) Walked to regular register, and into a person who's very friendly and willing to work with me. She looks at the flyer, and says: 'oh, it's bestbuy.com, sure.' Presses the function key, adjusts the price, and calls over a manager to do the override. Manager arrives, looks at the flyer, and says 'Wow, very nice.'. Done, and done.
It's always very YMMV...

That is always my experience. The customer service reps at there customer service line are always is a fucking bad mood or just mad at the world.
That exactly happend to me when I PM'ed the Puch-Out for the Wii last week. Went to the service rep after I bought it to get it adjusted didn't. So I returned. Walked over to the register got my $10 GC with Game at the PM'ed price.
So today scored HotD: Overkill for $4.99 after GC/RZ GC. Not too bad. This was at the register.

Went to Best Buy and matched HotD and Madworld, both no questions asked. They already knew even and I didn't have to say a thing.

Thanks for the tip. The checkout girl at the store just went to the computer, looked it up, and called for an override, no fuss no muss. Overkill will go nicely with the hand cannon I bought a while ago... muahahaha.
On a related note, damn you all... making me buy yet another 2 games. ^.^ Who can resist a deal? A better man than I, that's who.

Got both in store but the Customer service said that soon they were no longer going to be price matching bestbuy.com?!?
Anybody else hear this also or is this up to the discretion of the store manager?
Anyway...good job OP!

This is the type of BS that the customer service desk reps make up on the fly. I won't bother going there next time. Will simply go to the regular registers.

No problem price matching House of the Dead Overkill at my local BB. I printed off a sheet with the price from the kiosk, and the clerk called over a manager to do the price adjustment. I had two $10 certificates so the game was basically free. Thanks a lot OP!
they let you use $20 rewards for a $19.99 game? I always get shot down if I'm off by a penny!

No it's not, it's a new policy they were thinking of implementing in June.

Awesome deal, thanks for the post... I hope I have a Madworld on order (I am hoping that works out especially since it still shows in stock-- RZ Silver rocks for deals like this!), and was able to price match a HOTD in-store but just barely, the cashier spent like 3 minutes reading the entire printout trying to deny me and claimed it was an outlet item (because of the Best Buy Outlet clickable link at the top of the page) but finally gave up and just let me have the PM. Glad I didn't try to PM both as her head probably would've exploded. (she was a supervisor of some sort, had the manager code to approve the PM)
By the way, where is their "deal of the day" located on the website to keep an eye on it?(edit, nevermind, found it on the home page... duh!)

Well I also grabbed a movie so it took 10 off the game and 10 off the movie. I was planning on getting the movie anyway so I considered the game free. I"m not sure if they would let me have applied both to the game alone.

Darn E3! I missed this deal! I hope Overkill comes back. I really was looking forward to that one at this price for a long time. Any other alternatives? Price matching working for anyone?
No go at Wal-mart. Sears might work though.

I'm most excited about the BB DOTD. Another great avenue for deals, maybe? Especially sweet w/ silver free shipping.
And I picked up Madworld w/ free Silver shipping. Haven't touched HOTD 2, 3, or Ghost Squad yet, so Madworld sold me with it's unique-ness. "Rail-shooters" remind me of DVD games!

I don't know how Best Buy does it, but most retailers with an on-line presence as well run the web operations as a totally different division. Hence, stores like TRU not matching 100% of their advertised deals on the website, etc... There is no legal reason the prices have to match, but in the case of Best Buy, they created an allegedly fraudulent web price comparison tool for their store terminals which their sales people could use to claim Best Buy had the best price when compared to other retailers. I don't think they do this anymore.
Having said all this, I got a match at Best Buy in Atwater Village by just handing the customer service woman a print out of the deal from the website and despite the fact that HOTD was out of stock on the site and clearly noted as such on my printout, she didn't skip a beat and immediately called a manager to input the override. Needless to say, I have been very pleased with the service at Best Buy lately and consider it to be the only B&M retailer I will buy games from on a regular basis.

In store price matching worked for me, all I did was tell the person that it was on the website, because it only says "online only" on the actual link to the deal of the day, so if they just look it up on the website it comes up as sale @ 20, picked both up in the store. great post though.

Went to the Culver City location on the way home today, couldn't find either MadWorld or HOTD:O. So I took the white plastic dividers with those game skus on them, and found the game section worker bee. I asked him if they had either of these in stock, and he's got a smirk on his face like something is up. So he goes, "hmmm, let's check the computer", and it lists 1 MadWorld and 3 HOTD. He says "well I don't know where they are, but I will check around." I wait at the computer kiosk by the games, and notice 4 white DVD cases next to the computer.
Sure enough, it's the 3 copies of HOTD and 1 copy of Madworld. I take 1 of each (leaving 2 HOTD) and tell him "never mind, I found them" and go up and get them pricematched with my printouts, LOL.
Looks like the store had already sold a couple no doubt and a manager or an employee had pulled the remainders for themselves or to hide. But I got mine, LOL! If anyone goes to that store, check the computer kiosk in the game section for the other two copies. Also, they have TONS of the various game guides that were pennied out recently. Only one I didn't get that I wanted was the MGS4 LE guide. But I ended up with about a dozen guides for a penny each, and left plenty of guides behind for others.

Yep, this was yesterday's deal of the day so it's over now. Should probably go to the graveyard, which is fairly appropriate for a deal of this nature (given the games in it ;) ).
(my Madworld order shipped today! But it's coming XMEX so it'll be here sometime in 2011)
