I didn't expect to like this flick my wife roped me into going and I kind of enjoyed it. J. Moore acted her ass off in it and although the flick starts out slow it spped up as it goes on. I'd give it a 7/10 and it has some scenes that will surprise you a bit.

One positive thing about not currently being in a relationship is that I can't get roped into going to movie I don't wanna see. I seriuosly feel bad for any guy that got duped into seeing something like First Daughter this weekend.

I didn't think it was good at all. The plot was weak and the surprises are more of the jump out of your seat suprise rather than the "I can't believe this happened" surprise. But I do agree with you that Julianne Moore played her part the best she could despite the poor writing. The acting was the only thing halfway decent about this movie. I would only give it 5/10.

Yea my wife would never make me see one of those kinds of films I have my daughter for that. I wanted to tear my eyes out during the princess diaries 2

Hahaha... I remember working at the movie theater a few years ago and just seeing nothing but dejected, surly looks on the faces of all the men going into the theatres showing movies like that.

I just want to know how Michael Keaton went from being a lead actor in good movies, to a supporting actor in crappy movies

I dunno but playing a man reincarnated into a snowman was probably one of the steps down he took.

I have a feeling this movie is like that Kevin Costner movie, Butterfly, I think its called. I'm interested in how the story turns out but I don't want to sit through it.

know what i was thinking during this movie? how does someone determine what is "scary"? what im saying is, how did anyone know that people being sucked up into the sky would make an audience jump? its really random if you think about it.

The big problem with the movie is much the same as recent Shyamalan movies. It asks you to believe something that just doesn't pass the smell test. In this case, the Moore is unique in the intensity of her maternal emotions.
