Got an order confirmation this AM for Boom Blox Bash, but also ordered Tiger Woods 10 with motion plus and this was cancelled, but they gave me a $ 10 coupon - has anybody received their money back into their eawallet?

For any of you that got a cancelled order and are still looking to get Wii games, I have a Wii $5 off code that I don't think was used. I got it just to see if it would work for all games but it didn't, so I'm not sure if that counts as being used. Either way, the first one with a cancelled order that PM's me (you must have already posted in this thread) will get the code to try and see if it's still valid. No guarantees it works, but it can't hurt to try. ;)

did they actually send a cancellation email? i ordered last friday night, for the email confirm.. then haven't heard anything since (no shipping email, no cancel email)

after finally getting into their customer service/order status area.. when i view past orders, it shows up and status is: in progress

but then when i click on 'view invoice' it gives me the detail that it is out of stock

but still no cancel email.. just wondering if people actually got cancellation emails?

For the record... I placed several preorders over the last 7 days or so and they were not (and still are not) showing up in my order summary page. I called their call center and all of my orders are still active... he said the website must just be messed up (ya think?)

I've got 3 order unsubmitted entries in my order history. I ordered the Tiger Woods 10 bundle (canceled) and Madden 10. Very strange. Hopefully Madden 10 hasn't been canceled.

I tried placing orders at various times today. NONE OF THEM WENT THROUGH. I got the famous "unable to complete order" screen every time.

And to the guy who told me to "chill out", if you are so certain it's not the fault of "SIMS POINTS".........I'll be happy to sell you my EA CASH ACCOUNT....it's got a balance of $295....I'll take $175 for it to walk away from this whole mess........

I should have known better given the piss-poor experiences I have had with EA's store in the past. I still have a coupon I could never use from THAT time.

I was able to place a pre-order for MASS EFFECT 2. [crosses fingers]

Hmm maybe its just when you ordered. I used some credit from the EA cards when I pre-ordered both Tiger Woods Bundle and Grand Slam Tennis and I had no issue. I also had previously ordered EA Sports Active about a month ago from them and it arrived before the release date. I guess YMMV, but so far my experience has been okay. I hope that continues since I have a lot of credit to use...

If you look at the site, the bundle is no-longer there. Its odd that EA.com of all places would sell out, yet it still seems to be able to be purchased elsewhere.

Although, I wish EA would sell the Wii Motion Plus on their site sep.

And I would tell you the same thing as the first time, read the back of the cards. It's not JUST for Sims related purchases. Thats why you need to "chill out" before you freak out and state things not based on fact that EA is trying to screw us all when people have successfully made purchases. Also why would myself or anyone pay you $175 for your $295 balance on EA? Knowing you paid 50% of what the cards are actually worth? That makes your account actually worth $147.50 and nobody would pay you what it's worth because you are stuck with it, so its worth considerably less, more like $125.

i've found better luck navigating their crappy store using IE instead of firefox..

i ordered tiger woods bundle last friday to get the expedited shipping.. received order confirm very soon after in email.. but nothing else.. no shipping email, no cancel email

i checked their store support today and order showed 'in process'.. but when clicked view invoice it showed product as out of stock

however i just checked right now and the invoice shows product is 'in stock'

soo... dunno what's going on, but hoping they're getting it together and have bundle stock again?

Also ordered a TWoods bundle last Friday and got the cancelled email. My order history still shows it "in process" but also shows an additional order of the Bundle that it lists as "Order Unsubmitted". I am guessing that means I am in the process of being refunded. We will see.

However, even though we all know he paid $147.50 for his $295 balance, that doesn't mean it is only worth $147.50. I imagine he can probably find a buyer to pay at least the $175 he is asking, but possibly not here. The fact is, that the BB deal is over, which makes his credit worth more than he paid for it. Offering $100 or $120 for it is insulting. Why would he take a loss on it?

If it were true that the account could never be used to purchase anything, then yes, it would be worthless, but that is not the case. The issues will be resolved eventually.

Finally got the cancellation and refund as well. Reordered the TWoods minus the motion plus using the Pushing Play 5 dollar discount plus the 10 dollar coupon they gave me as consolation for the cancellation. Came out to 35 dollars with free shipping.

Since I used the Sims cards to buy it that basically means I got the game for $17.50. Not a bad deal even considering the enormous headache it was dealing with the website.

it wouldnt let me use both coupons, but then again i ordered TW10 for the PS3 on my second Go Round. If i had know i could use both i might have bought the Wii version again, but i think i might hold out for a better deal for the bundle via amazon or b&m

They sent me the coupon in the first e-mail that simply apologized that they were out of stock and said they would send me a later cancellation e-mail. I got a second e-mail later that officially cancelled my order.

i will try to contact customer service but i am skeptical about it

ea should stick to publishing games and selling through 3rd parties instead of running their own webstore..

I just got an email response from level 2 Customer Service regarding my preorders, and they stated that they are aware of issues, and it should work now, and they gave me a new $20 coupon to replace the one I wasted on the order that was canceled. I am not in a position to try placing an order at this time, though, and, of course, I can no longer get free expedited shipping (not a huge problem, but it would have been nice). I may try re-placing the order tonight (maybe with another item, since a few more Sims cards came in from BB).

I go on vacation Tuesday and come back the following Tuesday. If this website doesn't work when I get back I'm calling them and demanding a refund. Then I'm going to demand to talk to whoever I'm talking to's manager until I find someone authorized to issue the refund. Buying games from this company is shadier than buying crack in the ghetto.

I had placed a pre-order for Left 4 Dead 2 (360), Dragon Age Origins (360), and Fight Night Round 4 (PS3), which went through, but was canceled by the system a few minutes later. For the Payment Authorization Failed one, they gave me a $20 coupon when I resolved it. ah thanks.. so it's been a couple of days since i emailed about the tiger woods cancellation and i just got an email from them about it being 'escalated' to another CSR.. hopefully they figure it out

I got an email from a 2nd tier CSR saying the problem was fixed. He was full of shit. I emailed him back saying they have serious system problems and need to issue refunds and that his company is committing fraud. Probably wont hear back from them...I'll have to call when I get home from my trip.

update on my customer service status:

basically i emailed complaining about how my order for TW motion bundle was approved (email confirm sent) then canceled a few days later with no reason

i used their online customer service email form (via IE.. had trouble with firefox).. about 2 days later got a form email saying it got 'escalated' to level 2

a couple of days later got another email apologizing and giving a $20 code becuz the bundle is no longer offered


so hopefully that works..

haven't heard any word on my preorders yet.. but if anyone ordered TW with motion i would try talking to customer service to see if they compensate

mine went through (for dragon age) got the confirm email... but nothing shows up on recent orders about it.. i'm thinking maybe it'll show up when it gets closer to release, but that seems unlikely.. i'm guessing it's just their messed up store

They finally shipped my Tiger Woods Wii that I bought in exchange for the TWoods Bundle that they are "sold out" of. Shipped it free 2nd day air too, although I picked free slow-boat shipping. So yeah, good sign that at least one order was fulfilled!

by 'failed' orders did your orders just never go through, or were they all canceled?

it's been brought up several times in this thread already, but the back of the sims card clearly states that you can use it at 'other' ea online stores besides the sims.. that's messed up of them to limit you to just buying crappy virtual sim furniture.... can you take it to another level of CSR?

My failed orders are the ones that say: order cancelled by system (you get to the confirmation screen, but it says: "unable to complete".

I just filed a complaint with Michigan's Attorney General. I encourage any of you having problems to do the same.

You might also want to try filing a (legal) complaint in small claims court. It's not too expensive to file, and it's likely that EA would settle right away to avoid legal costs once they see you're serious. We have to do whatever it takes to stop EA from screwing us over!

After you go to the Customer Service page, click on the My Account link on the left. That will prompt you for a login and will actually accept your password. Once logged in, it will take you back to the customer service main page.

Received an order confirmation email when the order was placed, nearly two weeks ago.
Was told by a customer service rep when I first noticed the problem before that the order shows up in their database as "submitted" and that I should "have patience".

No offense EA, but I'd have a hell of a lot more patience if I actually trusted you to get everything right; at this point I don't. I'm never ordering from EA's online store again, it's not worth it.

I just checked and yeah they show up ordered on 6/12 and 6/11 - Dragon Age Origins and Left 4 Dead 2. I'm gonna try to order BFBC2 now and see if it works.

Just placed an order for BFBC2, got order email confirm, free std shipping, and it shows up under my order status.. Hope it doesn't get canceled. Do others get this far as well? Also how do I cancel a preorder? I want to change the shipping address on a couple b/c now I'm moving.. ea.com sucks

btw they all say order submitted under status... all preorders lol. Feel like I should try to order something that can be shipped now.

My non-bundled TW10 Wii was shipped yesterday after ordering it on Tuesday, and it will probably arrive in the next couple hours. I just did the free normal shipping, so I'm not as disappointed with EA as I was last week. I also have a preorder for L4D2 so I guess I'll have to wait to see if that works out.

And here's (http://courts.michigan.gov/scao/selfhelp/smallclaims/sc_help.htm) some information about small claims court in Michigan (I think that's where awesome gamer is). It's only $25 to file and it's not much paperwork. The clerks at the courthouse can even help you file if you don't know how to do it by yourself and mail it all out from home. You don't need a lawyer (bummer for for us lawyers :)) and most states don't even let either side bring an attorney into court. It's a very applicable solution to the apparent breach of contract that EA is trying to pull by not letting you use the store credit from the Sims Cards on anything in their store. They'll probably back down as soon as they get notice, and you might get to "cash out" your credit for twice what you paid for it.

Anyone can PM me and I can help you find EA's registered agent in your state and point you in the right direction (but realize that I'm not legally representing you or engaging in the unauthorized practice of law--it has to be said :)).

I'm curious about this too. I had no issue with the orders I made while the deal was going on but I have 9 cards (thankfully I haven't scratched anything off or input them)-- will BB even take them back at this point?

I think the BS about "These are just for Sims items" is totally ridiculous since the cards do say other EA stores. I think what EA "meant" and what they "said" might be 2 different things, though. I'm sure they didn't expect a huge rush on the cards and as such they weren't too strict about the language (Since after all, why would you buy a $10 card card to buy stuff through EAstore.com?)

Are people getting orders through who ordered recently, or is it the exception to sneak one through?

I haven't had any problems actually using the points, it's just the website itself is a buggy mess. I have a couple pre-orders that don't currently show up under my account, but after I called in I at least received confirmation that they're still on file somewhere.

I wouldn't freak out about not using the points on EA products ... the few folks who have been screaming about how all they can buy are sims products are wrong ... plain and simple. The points cards policy and the cards themselves clarify that the $10 is not just for sims related items. It's EA cash, it can be used in the EA store.

As far as taking them back to Best Buy, I don't think you could have, even if it was the day after you bought them ... it's the same concept as iTunes cards, once it's activated, it's yours. I've had 2 orders go through for the Sims 3 and Fight Night 4, so these points definitely do work. Just call if you have difficulty and although you'll be on hold forever, just tough it out and eventually you'll get through.

I've received orders for The Sims 3 as well as Fight Night Round 4 and Left 4 Dead using points from the Sims cards. I also have a couple pre-orders sitting out there.

I think someone posted this awhile ago, but the only advice I have for those having problems is that you need to make sure you aren't trying to use more than $200 in points in a day, otherwise your order will never go through. I was trying for about a week to place the order that included Fight Night Round 4 and Left 4 Dead that was going to use $200.05 of my credit but kept receiving a "Payment Authorization Failed" message when I'd go to submit my order. Once I found a way to reduce the price of my order to below $200 it went through with minimal problems (I still got an "Unable to process your order" screen the first time, but the second time I tried submitting it the order went through).

The biggest problem is that 2 of their policies kind of conflict, you can store $300 in credit and spend $200 in credit a day. They also make you spend all of your credit before you can use some other payment method, so in my case I would have gladly put that extra 5 cents on my credit card, but you're never given the ability to in the ordering process.

I hope this is of a help to some of you having problems. I wouldn't worry about your points not being any good, enough of us have had orders go through for me to think that is the issue.

Also wanted to mention that, at least a couple days ago, Pizza Hut is giving out codes for $5 off Fight Night Round 4 from the EA Store when you place an order online. It could help some of you get your orders to go through like it did for me.

Purchases that are considered preorders can be cancelled. An order for an item that is in stock or ready to ship cannot be cancelled after it is placed.
If you have placed an order for an item you no longer wish to receive and have already been sent a tracking number, please refuse shipment of the package, so it will be returned to our warehouse to be processed as a return.not much help hahah

Well, you're one step ahead of me. Even when I do manage to log in, my order isn't listed. EA customer support assures me that they have it, though. We'll see.

Don't think I'll ever be ordering through their site again one way or the other, though.

OK my orders are not one there as well, but customer service told me the same thing. So maybe thats good. Plus I have "unsubmitted orders", I guess I put some games in my cart and they are still on my order list. Terrible website...

If you got an order confirmation, you should be good to go. My wife ordered several Wii games, mostly pre-orders, and the order still doesn't show in her order history, but we've received all of them, most recently Dead Space Extraction.

I complained about how I was loosing my free overnight shipping by cancelling the order (I had wanted to just switch it to a new item), and the rep gave me a 20% off code instead. So I'm happy :)

Got mine as well. I had canceled and re-ordered to get the Collector's Edition, so I had to give up the free overnight shipping and take free regular shipping instead. But they shipped it UPS second day air. Since I had it shipped to my office and won't be back in again until Monday anyway, that's perfect.

I'm a little confused, though, because it looks like they billed me for Virginia sales tax. Aren't they in California?

The UPS tracking status on mine still just says "billing information received", as if they haven't even gotten the package yet. I wish they'd fix their tracking system to make it a little more "real time" . . .

I have been unable to log in and check the status of my Left 4 Dead 2 preorder. Even the trick I suggested long ago does not work, as I just get an invalid email/password notice. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't shipped yet, seeing as how Dragon Age Origins shipped several days before the actual release day. Has anyone that preordered Left 4 Dead 2 via the EA Store gotten an email saying it was shipped?
