I applied for a graduate assistantship in Residential Life, which is the people who run the dorms. The department after a month of deliberation agreed that my fiance and my son could move in with me if I took the position. Until they found out the apartments are not deleaded.

We talked with a pediatrician who said that it's not a big deal and they would sign off on it being safe, and the university's legal department came back down and said that regardless they're not willing to take the risk of a lawsuit.

And, the legal department has said that none of the full-time live-in staff with kids should have been living in these apartments to begin with, and should be moved immediately.
